Food execution and presentation at a very high level. Always love going here because I will taste something I've never experienced before. Wine list is deep and priced so that you can enjoy high quality wines without paying 4 times the retail cost. Brunch is also amazing.

Some things were out when we ordered at 5:45pm. Prices are very high for the meat cuts and overall expensive for what you receive. Overall the experience was ok.

Appetizers and Salad super delicious but bolognese served cool not warm or hot. My hangar steak was quite bad. The manager, kindly, did remove from our bill. We do want this restaurant to do better as we love a good local place!

I wanted to really love this place, and for the most part, I did. Pros: -Impressive wine list (get an expensive bottle, and you might be lucky enough to drink from the Zalto glasses!) -Thoughtful menu with eclectic flavors - definitely try the bone marrow and scallops -Nice vibe (in the FRONT of the restaurant!) -Pork belly and scallops and tilefish entrees delicious - arrived hot! -Booked for a birthday dinner and were originally sat in the back, uninspired area of the restaurant. Thankfully, when we asked the hostess if there was a table in front, she was more than accommodating and sat us right away. Cons: -Fatigued attitude of management (maybe too many tourists?? It is season, after all!) - with the exception of our server, Connor, who was great - not “hovery” or annoying. -Appetizers, while tasty, arrived luke warm. Again, Connor graciously handled it by comping the bone marrow with snails. Back to the pros, even luke warm, it was delicious. -The octopus was again luke warm but worse, over-cooked and rubbery. Bummer because the flavor profiles were very good. Summary: Food worth the effort - in a small town with not many choices for finer dining, this restaurant delivered in the end.

We come up to the area every February for a conference. We make sure to eat at 1921 every year. The wait staff is always amazing. We went through all courses and had several appetizers, multiple main courses, and a few desserts. The service was amazing. The food was without a doubt some of the best!!! The chef came by our table and discussed some dishes. It was a wonderful evening.

We were exhausted after walking around Renninger’s and the outdoor table we had reserved was going to be too warm for us. The host made sure to find us somewhere comfortable at a high top table and our server was very professional. We had never had brunch here and everything was excellent.

Stellar as always... Amazing appetizers including grilled octopus, great oysters on the half shell and awesome fois gras! I had the duck breast which was excellent and my wife had the classic hamburger and fries which is far better than it sounds! Wine service was impeccable. Staff was friendly, professional and ultra-competent. Restaurant is beautiful and filled with artwork so a wonderful place to dine. Still one of the best restaurants in the greater Orlando area -- maybe the best!

Excellent service and incredible food. A worthwhile experience, tucked away in beautiful Mt. Dora. Almost hidden in plain sight. Very good selection of drinks and a wonderful ambience, decorated with elegant artwork. Love that the menu is seasonal and changes based on the chef’s recommendations.

Enjoyed everything about the Valentines special menu. Our dining experience was fantastic, from our cocktails, service to dessert, and everything in between. The passion fruit sorbet was outstanding and I could have eaten a bucket of it, haha, but will have to return for more instead. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you!

We have been to 1921 twice. Both times the meals were superb as was the service. On Valentines Day the noise level was much higher than our first visit but that was the only difference. We will be back. It is a bit expensive but there are times you get what you pay for. Also need to mention that the wine pairings and specialty drinks are outstanding.

We love going to this restaurant it’s our favorite. Living in a small town area it’s often hard to find a really great dining experience. We always ask for one waiter Mason. He is a true professional and takes the time to get you acquainted with the best choices on the menu. No matter how busy he is he takes the time to insure the experience is fantastic. Try the expresso martini they are amazing. If you truly want a great place to have lunch or dinner or a great Sunday brunch this is the place. While there look at the eclectic art work throughout the restaurant.

Bret was our waiter and he was great. The food was wonderful and the carrot cake was a nice finish. Our only issue was the noise level from bar to our seating area in the next room, could use a door to separate.

They only had the brunch menu with limited choices. The wagu burger, at $21, was not that good. I was brought out the wrong food and they replaced it with the correct choice, but it was cold.

Cute place, decent ambiance. Server was very nice and friendly. Was newer so didn’t know a ton about the menu. May have had too many tables as the latter half of dinner had some gaps in service, clearing empty plates, refilling waters. Seems that stuff is all on the servers, no bussers or SA? Food while creative, and plated nicely lacked salt at every turn. Only the Parker house rolls which had salt were seasoned properly. Wagyu carpaccio, grits, octo, duck, scallops. All needed salt. And the duck breast was not rendered or seared properly. Flavors all good and presentation good. Colors good. Just wanted salt. Dessert Brioche was the absolute star. Citrus tart good, but Brioche was crazy good. All in all a cute place and a good meal. But just a few extra touches would have pushed it to an excellent meal
