Johnny cuenta con varias pizzerías, entre las cuales el restaurante 400 Gradi destaca como insignia del grupo. 400 Gradi presenta una decoración interior con texturas clásicas italianas, así como magníficas letras doradas y ribetes en tonos café de estuco veneciano en las paredes. Además, cuenta con antiguas lámparas colgantes en tonos negros y oro, y con un suelo pulido de estilo terrazo de carbón, que reflejan los tonos dorados del establecimiento. La decoración incluye la barra, creada a partir de una pieza oscura nervada de eucalipto rojo de 160 años de antigüedad, así como las despensas de embutidos y las antiguas picadoras. El establecimiento también cuenta con numerosas mesas para comer aire libre, donde suele presentarse la sofisticación del “otro” extremo de la calle Lygon. Johnny es el primer australiano formado en Nápoles según las normas de la asociación Verace Pizza Napoletana VPN y dirige la región australasiática de la asociación, por lo que recorre la región para garantizar que las pizzerías ofrecen la máxima calidad antes de admitirlas en la asociación.

Staff made you feel rushed from the time you sat down at your table. Then they delivered entree with main. Over priced. Will not be back.

Great food, amazing service only negative was how loud the tables around us were, could hardly hold a conversation at a two person table. Family friendly (eg. Children running around and crying)

The pizza is not that great and quite expensive, and a bottle of water cost $9? That's ridiculous, the service is a bit slow,. The mixed grill seafood was not as good as I expected, but we enjoyed the lamb.

Felt service and food was good. Had a good variety of appertisers/entrees. Tried 3 plus meat and cheese board. Enjoyed all. Waiters very friendly, just came to the table a little bit too often to see if everything was alright.

The food was great the service was a joke. Our waiter took our order and that was it we didn't see him again. No other waiters would serve us unless we asked. I'm Italian and I can say this without any bias Italian waiters have a certain arrogance about them, unless your a 23 yo pretty girl. If your a 23yo pretty girl that's the place for you. I bet with a smile they'd even wash your car.

In general, good food at good restaurant. But the pasta portion is very little. Paying ard 25 bucks and getting a kid size portion isn't pleasant. Lastly, this review thing is way too long. Make it short and concise to get more reviews.

I have enjoyed the Brunswick version of 400 Gradi and so was eager to try the Essendon incarnation. The food was great but the service left alot to be desired. Dishes weren't bought out in the order requested, drink orders were overlooked, we were either inundated with waiters interrupting us to ask how things were or marooned when trying to order coffee or ask for the bill. When the bill was paid, the change wasn't returned to the table so we could choose the tip we left.

Came to 400 Gradi in Essendon for my 21st Birthday celebration because I had been to the Crown restaurant and did the pizza course at the Brunswick restaurant. Great food! Ordered a starter entree for the table and then took an hour after we finished to receive our mains course which was disappointing. For that though, we received a free salad and bowl of chips to make up for the delay... Also, $3.50 charge per person to have a cake we brought which was a bit surprising.

Great service from the staff; happy, friendly and attentive. Very chilled out vibe to the restaurant which I liked. Comfortable temperature indoors as it was very cold outside. Layout of tables was very good with plenty of room in between the tables and chairs - didn't feel like the people on the next table were too close. Table for two was a good size as well, too often the tables are too small at other places! :) Food was delicious as well! Will be going back :)
