Party of 4 ate here 5:00 on a Sunday night before comedy show at State Theater. It was not busy. Food was great.. we had Salmon, Grain Salad, Prime Rib Sandwich, Chicken Parmesan(huge portion). Easy walk to theater district. Would dine here again.

Great find on Nicolett Ave, venue is beautiful and something on the menu for everyone. Close to entertainment venues and easy parking close by

Our first visit was so positive, we know we’ll be back. It’s a little walk from Orchestra Hall—-more pleasant on a warmer evening than last night. The feel of this restaurant is inviting and warm—with a nod to Minnesota. The staff, from the welcome at the door, to Paul our server to Ryan the manager made us feel valued and appreciated. The menu, not huge, but with a nice variety, revealed carefully created and presented food. An extensive wine list is available by the glass or bottle—-but we chose a cocktail and a local beer. 5 stars from us.

The manager at 801 Nicollet was absolutely lovely! Unfortunately, other than her, the service was not great even though the restaurant was not very busy and the food was fine, nothing I would order again. All in all, we were unimpressed.

This was our first time at 801 on Nicollet and it couldn’t have been better! Our server was friendly and attentive, the drinks were delicious and the food was fabulous! We also really enjoyed the ambience with the lighted trees and local decor.
