Enjoy afternoon tea in the heart of Berkshire at Cantley House Hotel, Wokingham. Set amongst acres of scenic Berkshire countryside Cantley House is a popular venue for one of the most English of traditions - afternoon tea. Indulge in a fabulous choice of afternoon teas in our award winning restaurant; the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon.

For the time being we will be serving food in the Courtyard Garden so we can ensure social distancing and give everyone plenty of space to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Lovely experience having afternoon tea in the Stables restaurant Cantley Hotel. Scones freshly baked. Plenty of tea. Friendly service.

I booked an afternoon tea for a small "Hen do" gathering with my girls, and this hotel looked like such a nice place and the reviews were good as well (with pictures) which made my life so easy. When we were sat at our table, we asked the staff to turn down the heating as we were seating right next to a radiator and surprisingly, they did turned it down which I very much appreciate. The food and drinks were amazing and we had an amazing time. I truly recomand the place.

We where a little disappointed with our experience as we had to keep asking for more tea and felt awkward we never been before so wasn’t sure if it was one tea pot between 3 also had in my head we would have little china cups not thick white mug my mum never drinks tea from big cups. food was lovely.

Lovely place to take my mum for a Mother's Day afternoon tea. We were in the old Stables which was lovely - more character than the main hotel. The food and Prosecco were delicious. The only thing to mention is that the tables were all very close together so it felt a little cramped

Disappointed with the planning around the location of our afternoon tea after being told it would be in the stables, we found ourselves being directed to the main hotel.This was quite a way and not ideal as my Mother struggles to walk short distances.With the exception of the two girls who served us the attitude of the staff especially the hotel reception left us disappointed with the afternoon experience.

I have visited once before and it just confuses me how the afternoon tea is just in the main restaurant of the stables. Our afternoon was literally dumped on our table and the waitress walked off - no explanation, no asking if we needed anything else. The scones were the highlight but sadly not even enough cream for one let alone 2 x 2! The cakes had no taste, the sandwiches dry and tea was not on tap - in fact we had to ask for the manager for more despite them saying they “top it up”.

The sandwiches were bland and dry and the cakes were not to my taste. The scones were lovely, I will say that. The staff were perfectly pleasant but nothing outstanding. The Christmas theme was not amazing, asides from the elf walking around clapping, it was the same as any other place at Christmas, a tree with some lights. What upset me more than anything was the cost. I can live with £35 per person for what was a poor afternoon tea, but I treated my mother in law to tiny glass of Prosecco and one glass of wine (I had that too) and it added £90 to the bill. £90 for 4 drinks is atrocious, especially when they were not even that good. I was and am appalled by this and I will not be going back to Canteley for any other celebrations.
