    si vas a comer o cenar solo es una opcion estupenda, sentarte en la barra charlar con los sushiman y con otras personas de la barra. el sushi es espectacular ! recomiendo dejarte llevar por las sugerencias de los chefs!muy buen japones!

    We did the dinner experience to celebrate our anniversary and it was fantastic. Each course was beautifully presented and delicious. Staff was extremely kind and professional. The place itself was beautiful and all-around an incredible experience.

    The service was great, and I enjoyed the food. The experience was great as well it just wasn't outstanding. It could be my misunderstanding of the restaurant intentions, but I would have enjoyed it more if there were more interactions between the chef and the customers. Other omakase experiences I've been to (cheaper even) had more interactions. Maybe it's because this place is more expensive, so the chefs interact less and focus more on the craftsmanship and taste?

    My wife, Lois and I have been to the top sushi restaurants in many places in the world including Japan. Last night was absolutely incredible. Although this restaurant is brand new it won't be long before it earns a Michelin Star or 2. The presentation and the dishware was fabulous. The sushi was the best we have had in over a decade.     One of the top few omakase experiences of my life. Absolutely beautiful progression of small dishes and fish. Service was perfect - warm and not stuffy. Looking forward to doing it again.

    We had a wonderful experience at Akikos. The service and chef was amazing and attentive. The food was so good and love the menu. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and we had a great time. Loved the toast with toro and caviar! The sesame ice cream was delicious. The new location is nice open and modern. Will definitely be coming back. :)

    Had the lunch omakase set menu with my spouse and it was wonderful. Loved the toro on toast with caviar and the squid cucumber salad. Andrew doing the nigiri preparation was amazing and the fish and urchin was A+. Will be back again.

    Took myself alone to AKIKOS as a treat after a long work period and at the end of a long work trip. It was everything I had hoped and more, the food was amazing especially the Uni WOW....... Staff, especially the sushi chef were amazing and I'd absolutely pay the $$$$ and go again when in SF,

    The previous location was SO much better in every way. There was an almost total lack of interaction from the staff when we arrived at the Chefs stage. Basically ignored by the sushi chefs for a good 10 minutes and almost throughout the meal. This is So different from the highly personal service at the old location. What happened? Add to that, the meal was lackluster. Our last experience at the old location was one of the best sushi meals I’ve ever had. This just felt like going through the motions. One stand out example was the dramatic difference in the signature toro caviar toast. The version last night just felt pre made and stale. A huge difference to the stellar and outstanding version at the old location. For a $1,000 total check for two people I was disappointed in every way.

    We reserved 2 seats at the sushi bar for lunch, having enjoyed Aikido's in its previous location . It really was perfection! Calm cool atmosphere, in which you can see each chef preparing different fish dishes...each in a measured and careful way. In front of us the chef was taking mackerel from a traditional basket, and laying them out and covering them with salt...fascinating to watch. Then he became the nigiri chef...relaxed perfection! The food was flat out superb, with variety, imagination, and expertise, from a small egg shaped cup with dashi and a tiny poached quail egg, to tiny fried sweet fish, to snow crab in the most delicate custard with shaved winter truffles, to grilled milk toast with ground toro and a big band of caviar on top. And the nigiri! So fresh, perfect and gorgeous, with tiny amounts of bright pickled things on top! I had one glass of sake, which paired with every dish. Expensive, but worth every penny...you will never regret trying this experience!

    Want a night out with some amazing sushi, this is not the place to go. Delicacies does not mean delicious, and definitely does not mean worth it. $500 to taste things you wouldn’t want to taste is not a good sushi experience. We were looking forward to this night out together, and were willing to pay their steep price tag for a night to remember. Regrets all around, and a night to forget. Don’t waste your time, or your money.
