Alina offers a traditional izakaya-style Japanese dining experience, where the emphasis is on sharing delectable dishes at the table over a leisurely meal. Our menu boasts a diverse range of sushi and asian cuisine.

OMAKASE EXPERIENCE: At the sushi bar, Chef Ken presents the “Omakase”: an exceptional Japanese dining experience where he crafts a multi-course meal using the freshest and most exquisite ingredients of the day. This allows you to embark on a culinary voyage that highlights the chef’s creativity and culinary mastery. - Please note that a minimum of 2 guests is required for the Omakase Experience.

Alina is located in the heart of Maho village, above Casino Royale. Parking is available at the Sonesta Hotel behind Maho village.

Alina is more than a Japanese sushi restaurant, Lobster, Wagyu and angus steak on our Robata grill : it is a culinary adventure!

Tuvimos que esperar una hora y media desde que pedimos hasta que llegue la comida. El servicio de mozos penosos. Le tuvimos que pedir tres veces y a tres mozos distintos para que nos traigan un tenedor. Le pedí recibo del pago con tarjeta y nunca me lo llevaron. Y para rematar el sushi es vulgar de mala calidad.

We came in early because we had to address a couple of food allergies ahead of time. They were very attentive to our needs. We had an extremely enjoyable meal. Their craft cocktails were very well done. I always enjoy eating there.

The sushi roll was excellent! Kudos to the chef. The service was poor. While the sushi roll was served quickly. It took an excessive amount of time for my table to be cleared of the completed main meal. The couple at the table next to me, arrived after I did. Their table was cleared, they paid, and left; yet my table was still not cleared. I looked around, trying to attract the attention of any waitress/waiter, but couldn't get one to notice me. Finally someone came. To avoid further delay, I immediately told him I wanted the Japanese Cheesecake, as shown on the menu, for dessert. He said they don't have Japanese Cheesecake, and listed the other desserts. I chose the 'Paris Brest'. I have had Paris Brest many times, but this was the worst Paris Brest ever; I rate it 0/5. The pastry portion of this dessert is supposed to be crisp and flaky. In fact, the pastry is supposed to crackle when eating. Alina's Paris Brest's pastry was extremely soggy and somewhat chewy---the total opposite of what it's supposed to be. To further describe, it was the same soggy, chewy texture if one were to place a beautifully crisp croissant in the fridge for a 1 or 2 days. Next time, I'll go to Sebastien Quillere Patisserie in French Cul de Sac to enjoy a perfect Paris Brest. Once again, I had to wait a long long time for my check to arrive. Again, I looked around, but couldn't get anyone's attention. Finally, the check arrived. Noticed that a 15% tip was already added to the bill. Wow, that's a lot for poor service. Within a minute or two, I was ready to pay. Again, it took a long time for someone to arrive. I positioned my arm/hand in such a way that my credit card was very visible, showing that I was ready to pay. Again, after 10 -15 minutes, or longer, no one came. I just got up, and went to the bar to pay. Again, an auto-assigned 15% tip by the restaurant was not warranted by the service level, nor the dessert.

Unfortunately we experienced a disastrous level of service which ruined the entire evening and is a disgrace for the chef whose food was quite good. We were a table for two booked a few days in advance on Open Table with a special request for Omakase menu. We arrived on time at 8:30pm, waited 15mns in the entrance while no one came to talk to us. After being seated, we were told they had not read our special request on Open table and Omakase was no longer possible for the evening. We therefore placed a simple two dish order after 45mns wait (around 9:30pm). At around 10:15 pm the waitress came back saying she had forgotten to place our order with the kitchen. They offered us some edamame to apologize for the wait and we ordered a nice bottle of wine. Apparently the kitchen would not rush our order despite the mishap. We eventually got our 2 plates last at past 11pm while everyone else in the room had been served and the restaurant was getting ready to close. We wrapped up at 11:45mn and were pretty much last in the room. Such a pity as the chef is talented. I hope they take a serious look at their service level. Just very disappointing as we had heard good feedback from friends and relatives. After we got the $200+ bill we made a request and complained that there was no « special touch » which they had said they would do to apologize for the situation. They eventually offered us two glasses of wine as we insisted. Too bad…

The red snapper was horrible, overcooked and too dry. The calamari was horrible, overcooked and too dry. The waitress was very pleasant.
