Food came out quickly but was cold … Nothing worse than cold eggs… Champagne never came out until after we paid the bill. I made the reservation, I was a little embarrassed

I had a breakfast booking for 9:30 through Open Table but when we arrived the doors were closed and when I called them, they said they had no booking and would not open until 10 AM. So watch out if you plan toü go for an early breakfast!!

The website gave me the option to book at 9:30am today and was surprised to learn that the restaurant opens at 10:00am. Did not receive any apology from the staff. After being seated I asked for pancakes with NO TOPPINGS as my son likes his pancakes plain. The waiter gave us pancakes topped with strawberries and syrups on the side. When I said i asked for plain his response was strawberries are not considered toppings and walked off. I tried to fix the situation by removing the strawberries and cut a piece for my 6 year old to try. He didnt like the taste. When I told the waiter if I can have a new one he argued that I shouldn’t have cut the pancakes. He finally agreed to give us a new one which my son enjoyed. Overall, the service was not at all what we expected at alto. And im considering cancelling my future reservation that I made at alto later this week.

Very good food, lovely for a nice lunch on a day out. Servings are very big although service is very slow in there. Would definitely go there again and recommend it to friends and family.
