A bustling café by day transforming into an Italian inspired pasta & wine bar at night. Anima Cucina is inspired by the soul of "la bella vita"; the good life that connects us all. Start your day with a great cup of coffee and housemade pastry or breakfast entrée. Lunch offerings include artisan sandwiches, scratch soup, salad bowls, and rotisserie chicken. At four o’clock, we slow down with a curated wine list, craft beer, charcuterie, fresh pasta, and unique Italian inspired entrées. Don’t forget dessert!

The food was some what limited for an Italian restaurant. The skewers were bland, no seasoning and beef tasted as it was boiled, shrimp was flavorless. The dips for the skewers odd combo as well. The charcuterie board was limited as well perhaps if it was for one person. Can’t comment on the breakfast but the dinner makes this restaurant for us a no return.

Waitress was very good Meat on a skewer was over done and not tasty Carbonara Pasta was okay a little pasty with meat bits hard like rocks

Felt sorry for the server, who was handling all tables by herself. Short staffed. Would not consider the walleye "lightly fried." It was fully fried, tasty but probably not healthy.

We waited over an hour for our food. We needed to get to the play. Worried that we may not make it. Would have been helpful to us if waitress would let us know why it was taking so long. And how much longer would it take.

My friend and I appreciated that this restaurant was cozy and relatively quiet. The food was delicious - The green salad was bright and tasty, and I ate my entire pasta dish, which I rarely do. The service was so friendly as well. It's great food in a comfy, low-key setting.

Very good service and the food was excellent. We always worry about having Italian food away from NY/NJ area but we were quite surprised by the flavors and quality of the dinner. We would recommend stopping here to eat.

For $275 before gratuity, their tasting menu with wine pairing for two fell short. I think the chef has talent but lacks support from both front and back of house. - No course explanations, waitress instead left stained printed paper from the 5:30 seating for us to reference. - The timing was off, felt rushed, and almost forced until they fell behind at fourth course. - Nowhere to put silverware between each course. - Each plate and its pairing lacked creativity. I think the james beard nomination went to their heads cause the pricing, presentation, execution just didn't add up. NYC/SF/CHI would eat up and spit out this place in two months.

Over cooked pasta, burnt steak. Took a long time but they apologized. I suppose, minus the apology, that this gave the place an Italian character
