Featuring our own unique interpretation of the tapas from bars of Spain, Bar Bodega combines an intimate atmosphere with bold flavorful dishes and a unique selection of wine and craft beers. Our menu is inspired by traditional Spanish tapas influenced by the flavors and ingredients of San Diego and Baja. Our eclectic and thoughtfully selected Spanish-focused wine list features wines from small family-owned and operated producers. Many of our wines are bio-dynamic and organically sourced. Many also support 100% female-run vineyards! Bar Bodega is run by 2 owners who do everything hands-on, including marketing and responding to guests! We strive to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere. So come on in, we'd love to have you!

Everything was great, but we were informed that Sunday 9/29 was their last day of service. They are changing the concept of the restaurant and expect a soft re-opening this week.

San Diego has long needed a go-to place top notch tapas and sangrias, and Bar Bodega delivers! Great for a date night or meeting friends, the service drinks and tapas have always been excellent.

It was excellent. We've been there several times and the food never disappoints. The old fashions were yummy and the manager heard is talking about the corked wall and came over and told us how he did it and was very nice.

Everything we had was delicious! I particularly enjoyed the brussel sprouts. Missed the calamari they used to have on the menu.

We had a great time here! Very casual place - but good food and a fun atmosphere. The standouts for us on the menu were the pulpo, the croquetas and the queso a la plancha. The shrimp on the menu are NOT head-on as described and are a very American interpretation of the famous Spanish tapas. And their wine selection could be a bit better.... none of the Spanish stars are here - but it's reasonably priced and we happily drank what they had to serve. Overall it is a great addition to the Little Italy scene and recommended.

The food was delicious and creative, the server knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered at least 6 different tapas, all really good. The chef came out for a chat too. Would definitely go back again!
