Where la dolce vita meets Aussie spirit!

Bar Gusto is a celebration of two rich and diverse cultures colliding in Bowen Hills, on the fringe of Fortitude Valley. From the moment you step through our doors, you’re transported to a vibrant space where the aroma of authentic Italian dishes mingles with the enticing frivolity of staff that greet you, making every visit feel like you’re at home.

The atmosphere buzzes with laughter, conversation, music and the clinking of glasses as friends, families, and colleagues come together to create lasting memories.

Whether you’re wanting an alfresco lunch and cocktails under the fig tree, or to savour a selection of antipasti and wine in the evening, Bar Gusto invites you to indulge in the best of both worlds.

Food was very bland. Garlic pizza sounded delicious but more base than topping.

Extremely disappointing. 30 minutes just for the cocktails to arrive, no water offered, no cutlery for food. Food was either bland or inedible.

Zero service; took 10minutes to be shown to our table. Never brought the booked number of chairs as said they would and then never told us they had run out of pizzas!! We had to wait ages in a line to be told they ran out pizza dough? Which is majority of the menu. Ridiculous

Hello Anonymous, We sincerely apologise for the issues you experienced — this is certainly not the level of service we aim to provide. On that particular evening, over 3,000 people filled the streets, all looking to eat at the same time, and unfortunately, our team became overwhelmed and struggled to keep up with the demand. We truly hope you'll give us another opportunity to redeem ourselves in the future. Kind regards, The Bar Gusto Team

The pasta dish order was obviously microwaved and very bland. The very middle and bottom of the pasta was scalding hot while the rest was cool. When turned over the shape of a container was so obvious The carbonara sauce based pizza tasted very eggy, and I am sure there was a blob of uncooked egg white on top. The "prociutto" was chewy as can be. Will not go back. Will not recommend.

Unfortunately on the day we booked there seemed to be staffing issues. A third of the menu wasn’t available. The service wasn’t great. The food that we did get was average. This is the first time I’ve been to Gusto & the reviews I read prior to making the booking didn’t match my experience. This may have an unfortunate day to make a booking but we won’t be back.
