Came to celebrate my birthday with my husband for the first time upstairs. The food was delicious and we loved everything, and service was good. My only disappointment is that even though they knew it was my birthday, there was no little desert offered. We ended up ordering our own, the Ferrero Rocher, which was very delicious, but we’ve also celebrated many birthdays downstairs at gigis and know that they offer you a little something to celebrate your day.

Lucia Bar has a really cool concept. The upstairs space is beautiful, the DJ was excellent, and the story behind the bar is genuinely charming. Gigi’s is inspired by the owner’s grandfather, while Lucia is dedicated to his grandmother. Every cocktail is named after a line from a poem he wrote for her, which is a really thoughtful touch. A heads-up though: this is a cocktail bar first. Come for drinks and a couple of small plates, not a full dinner if you’re hungry. The food was excellent. The raviolo was perfectly al dente and absolutely worth ordering. The wagyu and salmon were both delicious too. My only food note would be the Ferrero Rocher-inspired dessert. It’s good, but it doesn’t need to be quite that enormous. Unfortunately, the service really let the experience down. We were there for over two hours and there seemed to be an issue with almost every course. One cocktail was made incorrectly, one dish was forgotten, and then one dessert was forgotten as well. The wrong drink was removed from the bill, which was appreciated, but the overall service felt slow and disorganized, especially since the patio wasn’t particularly busy. We were also celebrating a birthday, which we noted on the reservation and were asked about again when we arrived. I wasn’t expecting anything extravagant, but it felt like a missed opportunity not to acknowledge it in any way. I genuinely want Lucia Bar to succeed because having places like this in the Tri-City Pavilion is such a win for the area. The concept is unique, the atmosphere is great, and the food is strong. If they can tighten up the service, I think they’ll have something really special. I’d happily come back for cocktails and another raviolo.

Great spot!! Great staff!! The outdoor patio is especially nice. Had a great time. A great spot for a first date.

We sat on the patio and the views and vibe is very nice. I gave a low rating for food and service because it took 20 minutes for our table and the one next to us to get water and the menu. We each only got one menu, instead of the customary 2 you would expect. We also never got the complimentary bowls of popcorn that the other tables received. The other issue, was that the menu changed significantly from when I booked the reservation 3 weeks prior. When I asked, I learned they had just changed it and it was paired down significantly versus what I had seen online when I booked. So disappointed with that and it would’ve been nice to have been told that it had changed. Especially as we were going for dinner and really, they only have snacking options now. We did make it work and food and drinks came out relatively quickly once we were actually able to place an order. Food also did taste good and the drinks. Our server disappeared after that never to be seen again. The bar staff served us after that and we had to flag another server to get our bill. Overall, okay. We would go back BUT would definitely have dinner at Gigi’s downstairs as they are amazing and on point, then come upstairs to Bar Lucia for the drinks and views.
