Legendary Dining & Hospitality
Acting as stewards of traditional hospitality, the dining room offers world-class cuisine in a warm and welcoming environment. Serving an array of local beer, spirits and craft cocktails and all brought to you by our friendly staff, the Belton Tap Room is a favorite of locals and guests from around the world.

With an outdoor elevated deck and original 100-year-old fireplace, this is the perfect place for all that Montana summers have to offer. Every evening, our staff lines the balconies to welcome the evening train, just like they did in 1910. Steeped in the romanticism of a bygone era, this is the perfect setting for a special evening - whether you're celebrating an anniversary or the completion of a ten-mile hike.

We so enjoyed our dinner. We loved that it felt like a nice restaurant for a special date night but also an atmosphere conducive to families. Can’t wait to come back!

The food was very tasty. My wife had the meatballs (lotsa meat) and I had the meatloaf. No complaints. The service was great! The music was awful. It was Bb bluegrass. It's hard to hear a loud banjo during dinner. The albums eventually rotated, but we were told customers have asked before to have the music turned down, but the request gets confused due to a "corporate" thing. This one thing should be rethought.

We happened upon The Belton because food options at Apgar were closed. The food was okay for the area, but for not for the cost. My husband and I both had the tortellini with the bread appetizer.

Strongly encourage your readers to frequent Belton Chalet restaurant. Surprisingly excellent experience immediately outside the park where there are few other options. One of the highlights of our trip.

The filet was phenomenal. Homemade bernaise sauce was amazing. The filet was large - I couldn't even eat all mine. Cooked perfectly and well seasoned. For starters we had the bread service, that was served with a dipping butter and a seasonal sweeter spiced butter, as well as the shishitos. Delicious! Halle was our server. She had a great personality and was very efficient. Didn't miss a beat!!

Every single aspect of our dinner was AMAZING! Our server Lisa (I believe) was phenomenal. Very attentive and friendly. Very knowledgeable about all aspects of the drink, dinner, and dessert menu. Outstanding recommendation of the Huckleberry cheesecake. Best dessert of our trip by far!! We will definitely recommend to friends!

My wife and I had dinner at Belton Chalet three times. Not because it was great but it was the best on offer at West Glacier. Belton Chalet was billed as somewhere that required smart casual clothes. That’s not the case. The food was good for a US restaurant but the server on the second night was a piece of work. Starter salad came without avocado, main curry without chicken. Barely an apology.
