   Modern minimalist style. Medium-sized restaurant and bar. We were a party of two couples. The two men had well-made Manhattan cocktails and wine with dinner, and the ladies stuck with wine. We all had the beet/arugula salad to start, my date loved it; I could have done with a half salad. Three of us had salmon on risotto with asparagus; All were delicious, but the risotto was only lukewarm and this detracted from the meal. One of us had the short ribs; she oved it and we were all jealous looking at that dish. The other couple ordered a beautiful-looking limoncello cake for dessert. Two of us ordered coffee; it was free, but the downside was that it was served in Styrofoam cups, it was lukewarm, and it tasted like gas station coffee. A restaurant that can cost $120 for two (including liquor, wine and tax, but not tip) should serve real coffee. All in all OK, but the food should be warmer and they should have real coffee. One last thing, we were surprised to find live music (a singer/guitarist) but the music was too loud for talking. The music was quite pleasant, just too loud.

   The food was okay. The drinks were okay. Everything was a little over priced. Valet is $10 for guests even though the entire lot was empty. I probably wouldn't make it a point to return.

   I recently dined at this historic restaurant, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. The atmosphere was charming and cozy, with a rustic vibe that truly made me feel like I was stepping back in time. The history of the restaurant was also a highlight for me, as a brick mason, I was particularly impressed with the building's structure and the way it was beautifully preserved. But what really stood out for me was the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Cody. Not only was he incredibly friendly and attentive, but he also took the time to explain the history of the restaurant to us in great detail, which made the experience all the more special. The quality of food was also outstanding. Each dish was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced and expertly crafted, making for a truly memorable meal. And to top it off, the prices were very reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service. In short, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. The atmosphere, history, service, quality of food, and price all deserve a five-star rating. And a special shout-out to Cody, who made the evening even more enjoyable with his fantastic service. Keep up the great work! Five Stars!

   There on a Tuesday night. Almost no one else there (although Opentable said 7PM reservation for 3 was not available). Food and service were both mediocre at best. Almost not a real restaurant. Would go elsewhere

   I was really excited to be able to have poutine. The menu stated it as being gluten free which made me happy because usually most gravies are not gluten free. However, they were out of the short rib. I ordered a classic burger without a bun and fries. Bartender was nice and made us lemon cello spritz drinks that were delicious and refreshing.

    Good drinks and stylish dining area in the bar downstairs. Salmon dinner was OVERCOOKED and served cold. Would not go again. Appetizer of Mac and Cheese Balls was good as was the Caesar Salad. No self-parking allowed, Valet parking only -- at a cost of $10.00 is a total scam (also received a notice on my phone halfway through dinner that my car was being unlocked and when I went out to the lot, the Valet was just walking away from my car... not sure why but seemed weird)

    The drinks were very good; maple bourbon cocktail. The Salmon with Risotto stole the show. It is the best dish I’ve had in the city, period. The red wine glaze finishes the Risotto so well and complements the Salmon perfectly. This place is a Diamond among some other great places in the Lawrenceville neighborhood.

    The fish and chips were the best I’ve had in the city. There was a very talented young female musician. Very enjoyable evening. I only wish they would put Over Eden’s brussel sprouts on the menu.

    I love the vibe of this place! It's beautiful and quiet. However, I think the food could use some improvement. A lot of dishes were over-seasoned and one was to the point of inedible. Great place if you're feeling fancy and they have nice events on the weeknights like live music and trivia.

    Great little space on the ground floor of the hotel. Ambiance was warm and welcoming, folks were very friendly, beverage menu was great, and food was good. We did not stay at the hotel.

    The food was great and there was hardly any wait. The biggest issue was that there wasn’t a Singtel waiter in the restaurant. There was only a bar tender, who didn’t seem to be too happy about being the only staff. We had a reservation and had already looked at the menu, thankfully, because no menus were ever given to us. I had to go up to the bar to pay my bill, service was greatly lacking because there was no wait staff.

    My food was cold except for the salmon. There was one server for The whole restaurant. Noone checked after our food was delivered - my husband left most of his food and none asked why- my drink was never replenished. The live music was excellent food not so great. Server was pleasant but stretched way too thin!

    The musician playing was very talented and the bartender (Dan?) was extremely swamped from also attending to a Christmas party overflow was very attentive and kept his cool the whole time - even though he was overrun with guests. The food was delicious too!

    Our reservation was for 11/12/21 at 7:30. When we showed up the restaurant was closed and the chairs were turned up on its table. There was no host or anyone to talk to. We went upstairs to the top floor restaurant to see if there was some mistake and the hostess didn’t know why our reservation wasn’t canceled as they were aware of the closure. Essentially as we found out there needed to be a last minute closure, and all reservations were to be contacted however we never were. Wish I could say what the food was like because the menu sounds good but unfortunately this just left a sour taste in my mouth.

    We went at about 815 and there was only 1 or 2 other tables with people. They seated us right away, took our order and brought our drinks. Then the staff was no where to be seen for about 30 minutes. Finally, a waitress come over and tell us the kitchen staff is missing and she doesn’t know where they are. So said she was going to call them. After a while she came back and said she couldn’t find them. I asked if they could accommodate us in the other restaurant in the hotel and she called but they said no. She recommended a Mexican restaurant a few blocks away and we were starving so we went there. After eating there I came back to pick up my car at the hotel valet and they tried to charge me $25 since I didn’t eat at the hotel. He was very rude. I told them that I had tried to eat at the restaurant but they totally screwed up and demanded my car with no fee. He reluctantly complied.

    We didn’t understand why we needed a reservation because the place was empty. The service was terrible. We are upstairs for an appetizer and drinks then downstairs for jazz and both places our servers were no place to be found despite the resistant being nearly empty. Attractive venue though. These are hotel bars.

    Like most restaurants it was badly understaffed but high praise to the one server on staff, who was definitely giving it her all. The food was good, though not great. The space is cool and appropriate for the neighborhood. Hopefully they can overcome the staffing issues and continue to strengthen the menu. Parking is limited, and turning left out of the lot is a modest challenge. We will go again when the occasion arises.

    We got seated at the worst table (thinking that they were closing we didn’t complain). 25 min later we got served water. 5 min later we were asked for drinks, we didn’t have time to ask for food. 20 min later we got the drinks and could ask for food. 30 min later we got our food (after another table that arrived later than us). But we didn’t got all our food. We waited, nobody was coming to even say “how’s your food”. And when they came, 20 min later, we told them about the missing food. It was back at the kitchen (now closed) waiting, almost cold. Horrible service honestly. And we cannot blame the people, there were just two for serving drinks and the tables. We won’t go in the future, that’s for sure. What a silly way of ruining someone’s night.

    Since the kids are grown, my gf and I want to try new places to eat in the city. I figured we’d give Brick Shop a try since I’d read about it on Facebook. We had a nice time, and the food was good. We were a little confused by the food names and there wasn’t a large menu, but we just wanted to try whatever sounded good to us. It was all very nice, making reservations was easy, and we had a nice dinner out together. The waitress was very nice also, and attentive despite her also being one of the bartenders (and making some pretty complex cocktails from what we could see). We will be coming back to try other items sometime soon!

    Didn't eat here, but the drinks were very good. It's a rather noisy place, especially on jazz night, but worth a visit, for sure. The hotel rooftop bar is also really nice.

    Service during our meal was horrible. They did not bring the appetizers that we ordered, and when we alerted our server to this when the entrées arrived they didn’t care. Menu is still limited, and the food is just OK. This is a nice space in a nice hotel, but they have to go along way towards improving this restaurant. At this juncture, I recommend staying away

    My son and I had an amazing time at the Brick Shop last night. There is a great energy level there. The wine, beer and drink options were extensive and high quality. The range menu items with a Mediterranean influence was excellent for sharing. Hearing Roger Humphries jazz ensemble was such a treat after a year of no live music. The entire experience was perfect.

    Only ones there and all the food items we ordered were room temperature. Nothing was warm or hot. Cocktail was good. Service and ambiance good.
