Brink's Tavern, established in August 2025, is the latest concept from Brinkley’s Restaurant Group. Nestled in Beacon Bluff, right across from City Hall, Brink's Tavern brings a fresh take on Southern-inspired seafood focused cuisine, highlighting the rich culinary tapestry of the Southern coast. Overall my experience at Brinks was okay. Service was average, nothing that sets it apart from a Applebees. Calamari small plate was delicious, crab cakes were good, large portions, but bready. Collards were very good, smoky and sweet. I would recommend and return but I was disappointed considering the hype.

Acoustic noise was terrible. Ordered fish and chip and fries were fake coated with flour and tasted like 100% processed food. Industrial ceiling and concrete floors I couldn’t hear myself. Ordered hush puppies and they were standard but at $13 was outrageous. Everything we ordered was $5.oo too much. The final cost plus the extra charge for credit card was over $77.00. Can get the same thing with better food and portions for $25.00 less. I would scratch this place.

Calamari was tasty, but cooked too long. (I find this more often than not in the region.) Swordfish was tasty, the ham incorporated into the rice a lot of gristle. Baked oysters were very good.

It is a new place in town. All I can say is that the chef needs to step up a little. The batter for the fried shrimp was way too salty. The fish and chip were spot on.

You can tell this is a new business. The service was slow and the waitress had a hard time hearing us. The drink order wasn’t correct nor was the food order. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The food was extremely salty but I think that will get better with time and consistency.
