Buon Cibo is one of our favourite neighbourhood haunts in Hertfordshire, located just around the corner from Rickmansworth station. The down-to-earth dining room at Buon Cibo is schmoozy and always filled with a local spaghetti loving crowd, and the restaurant's location makes it the perfect spot for after-work meals and casual dinner dates. Decorated with dark wood, stainless steel and caramel leather seats, the restaurant is famous for its hearty Italian fare, and we love the oven-baked sardines cooked with garlic and rosemary; the classic spaghetti Bolognese; and the veal escalope in breadcrumbs pan-fried with spaghetti pomodoro. Don't miss the homemade puddings and creamy Italian ice cream for dessert.

Dined with the girls!!! A really lovely evening. Food was fantastic, service excellent and staff could not have done more. Highly recommend this lovely restaurant.

A lovely little gem of a restaurant and made all the better for the staff who were attentive and helpful. The food was delicious and good sized portions . We will definitely return in the future.

Restaurant was half-way between locations for us. Well worth the drive - a very enjoyable evening. If we're ever in the area would certainly go there again

Great evening and excellent food, squeezed in as booking had not been received by restaurant. This was reflected by two other groups who arrived later in the evening. Free drink given at end of meal by way of an apology. Still love this venue

This is a hidden gem in Rickmansworth near the station. The style is classic Italian old fashioned good food! Good size portions and fabulous tasting. I had veal milanese which was fantastic Highly recommended

This was my first visit to the restaurant. The service was prompt and attentive. However my main course was disappointing and left me feeling very bloated and uncomfortable. The location wasn't what I expected- really close to the railway station and very easy to miss while driving. I will not be eating here again.

This is a great Italian restaurant. The menu is diverse, you'll be spoiled for choice with all the dishes to choose from. Its a great restaurant for a romantic date. Love the food, love the wine...the staff is friendly and attentive and service is timely.
