• dra | 1837 red ale $10 burger bar chicago is a south loop burger spot that’s home to the burger bar stacker, recently named the 2026 best burger in chicago by the Chicago Tribune. we started with the prime experience, which is simply a usda prime beef patty served on its own. no bun, no toppings, just the quality of the beef speaking for itself. after one bite, we couldn’t wait to try the burgers. of course we had to order the award-winning burger bar stacker, and it’s easy to see why it earned the title. the juicy half-pound usda prime beef patty is packed with flavor. we also loved the famous fried pickles, perfectly crispy with a great crunch. if you’re not in the mood for beef, the hot honey crispy chicken stacker was another favorite, sweet, savory, crispy, and incredibly juicy. we paired everything with their house 1837 red ale, which complemented the meal really well. definitely worth checking out if you’re on the hunt for one of chicago’s best burgers. hosted by @burgerbarchi 📍 1150 s michigan ave, chicago, il 60605

I can’t believe it took me all these years to finally check out @burgerbarchi I love walking the lakefront and @burgerbarchi is so conveniently located on Michigan and Roosevelt! I just assumed it would be another basically black bean Patty. But it was anything but that- the thought, research, and creativity put into each dish is impressive. Chef John has spent years in the industry, perfecting his craft and it can very clearly be seen in his dishes! Also the variety of vegan and vegetarian options that actually taste good are awesome! They also have a TON of beers on tap! So next time you’re walking by, make sure to stop in for a fun time. They have a rotating specials menu, so you can always try soemthing new. For a limited time in November, we tried their new honey harissa wings and the beer of the month, Avery White Rascal.
