Can Ramonet is a long-established restaurant, filled with great food and contagious joy. The story of Grup Ramonet begins with this restaurant, in a small, 18th century winery located in the heart of the Barceloneta district.
more than 65 years after, the restaurant looks to its past but is alive in the present, with tradition and modernity going hand in hand. Can Ramonet retains its warm character and the flavours of home cooking, which come from the ingredients from the sea and other fresh, high-quality and locally sourced produce. Can Ramonet pays homage to its history, offering a carefully selected Mediterranean cuisine and an inviting atmosphere in which to enjoy an excellent gastronomic experience.

    Highly recommend. The staff was extremely helpful! They recommended wines and food, but did not press. The seafood is fresh and tasty! They arranged for a taxi at the end of our meal.

    What a lovely restaurant. They do great fish, but it's not all fish. The staff were good fun. In the end we went 3 times. And it won't break the bank.

    I love eating where locals eat. That's how you know it's good. I'm not disappointed. It was amazing. I was able to satisfy my love of "small" fish with sardines and anchovies.

    Rude, awful people! We got up and left after being treated so poorly all because of my service animal. They were very aggressive in the manner they spoke to us so we left. If I could give a negative score I would.

    Can Ramonet is the best and most authentic tapas we’ve had since arriving in Barcelona. We were early but our table outside had been reserved for us so we were seated immediately. After a long day of taking in the sights, we were hungry and ready for a good meal. We ordered the bravas (delicious) the gambas ajillo( great garlic flavor and nicely cooked shrimp with garlic slices & crushed chili peppers in the oil, yum) we also ordered the bomba (my friends favorite) and ham croquettes (so we’ll done!) As if that wasn’t enough food, we had the meat/veggie paella (incredible depth of flavor and the texture was amazing. The small (pork?) ribs were dry but the flavor coaxed out of the vegetables made up for the less than perfect meat.) I had beer with the meal( cool and refreshing) and my friend had coffee. It was a bit chilly, bring a sweater even if you don’t think you’ll need it. Barcelonetta was cool & breezy when the other side of Barcelona was warmer. The table servicer was excellent. He met our needs quickly and was welcoming. We really appreciated being able to enjoy the fresh air while eating our food. Such a great meal. We hope to return for another amazing meal before we leave this beautiful city.
