We offer casual waterfront indoor and outdoor dining at the islands oldest restaurant. Beautifully remodeled in 2007, our full service menu features Seafood, Sushi, Steaks, a full liquor bar and 32 Beers on tap. We were recently featured on Guy Fieris Diners, Drive-ins and Dives so make dinner reservations a day or two in advance if you can. We serve breakfast lunch and dinner and highly recommend making dinner reservations. We do not accept reservations until 4 pm but we are open all day everyday except Tuesday and Wednesday and welcome walk-ins anytime.

Wonderful service from the time we walked through the door until we left. While we dined, we watched several manatee playfully swimming around the channel. Our food and waiter were excellent! Perfect evening. We will be back!

Everything was fabulous until my son who had just turned 21 gave the bartender his ID to have a shot before going home and it was thrown in his face and told he wasnt serving him. We spent $300.00 on dinner where he was being served drinks at the table. The bartender with the long beard was way out of line. The chef did a great job with the fish we had brought in and our server was excellent and very helpful. It's a shame you have a dougbag bartender. I would highly recommend the restaurant but stay far away from the bar.

I made the mistake of ordering meat at a seafood restaurant and the prime rib was super tough and the alternative of a filet was the worst of the butt end that was inedible. However! Service was amazing and their seafood is amazing and the rest of the party absolutely loved it all. Amazing place.

We met some of the staff on their day off and after hearing about Castaway we decided to come and try it on our last night in Marathon, we are so glad That we did! It was by far the best meal that we had while on vacation! Thank you for a great time!

It might be a small thing but I ask for a Steigl mug for my Steigl Radler twice. And all three of the orders had which ever mug she grabbed first is what I got. With the excuse of “ we only have thee Stiegl mugs ( I counted way more than that, as I was sitting there for 3 hours eating with my group six It was a small but special event for me that would have been very nice. The food is outstanding! We had a large party and everyone really enjoyed their meal. The menu is unique and offers something for everyone. We highly recommend Castaway Waterfront Restaurant & Sushi Bar. In fact, this is the one restaurant that we went to while in Marathon that we will definitely return to the next time we are in the Keys. Awesome!

We were very happy that we found this place. We enjoyed it so much that we went back 3 times within a week. Loved the casual, laid back atmosphere, but most of all, the food was great. If you're a sushi lover, their sushi is top notch. It was our first time trying lionfish, and it was amazing. They have a good variety of other seafood choices and some non seafood choices also.

Fantastic! Definitely get reservations. Took us right to our table. It was very busy, yet the server was with us shortly, and our food came out fast. We tried the lion fish sushi roll…excellent. We also had the baked oysters…excellent. The Bloody Mary had so many trimmings, it was almost a meal. Don’t skip this stop when visiting Marathon.

The Seven Seas Roll was amazing! This is a fun place on the lagoon. Great atmosphere. Friendly and hustling wait staff. The oysters with the champagne minionette sauce were fabulous. Favorite place in the Keys!! Make a reservation!

We especially came to Castaway’s because we caught some lion fish while diving and we heard they were good to eat. Castaway’s has divers that catch their fish- talk about fresh!-and they serve lion fish! Try it! It is delicious!

Brian made the experience superior! As he says ... his job is easy when the food is consistently good. He is truly an asset and consistently on top of his game! Can never say enough about it- one of my favorite restaurants in Marathon. Sadly missing one of the best espresso martinis in Marathon. The fried fish on this visit (we had both the Tile and Hog snapper) were both over fried (dark) so a bit "tough" will have to remember in the future to request lightly fried. Will be back soon. My friends reported their dinners as one of the best in a long time and made a point to say not just on their week here but in a long time. They were also impressed with Brian's eye to attention; he was quick and thoughtful to offer any recommendation we requested.
