Our waitress/ server was incredible. Her name was Anna and she was attentive, made great suggestions, very accommodating and super sweet.
Excellent location, food could be better.
Great ambiance and fantastic food! Also a lovely selection of vegan and gluten free dishes and very accommodating staff.
Cecconi's embodies all of the worst things that a "trendy" restaurant tries to be: loud, dimly lit, arrogant staff, lackluster service, and mundane food.
Since I actually live in DUMBO, Cecconi's is one of those restaurants that you feel like you must bring out-of-town visitors to...and that's all that it really is: a tourist trap. Having actually dined in Michelin Star restaurants, Cecconi's is basic at best. Honestly, I've had better service being dragged into a tourist trap restaurant in Positano...at least they were attentive and authentic there!
Over the course of two years, I've eaten at Cecconi's approximately 4 times (as it's so close to my apartment). Out of those 4 times, only 1 visit has resulted in adequate service.
Half of one star from this review goes to the lobster ravioli and the other half goes to the gracious gentleman who kept our water glasses refilled all night. The lack of the 4 other stars is a testament to the snootiness of one of the hostesses, the two very confused servers that we had, and finally the overall entitled trash ambiance from the establishment.
If you want to support a local restaurant in DUMBO with EXCELLENT service, beautiful views, and outstanding food, I suggest going to Atrium. At least there you won't have to ask for your "complimentary bread" 3 times.
With two babies and four adults it was great
Amazing food and service!!!!
My family and I had an amazing time. The view and our table accommodations were breath-taking.
Waiter forgot to give us the complimentary bread. We realized that when we saw everyone else with it. When we brought it to his attention he said that we had to request it. I told him how can someone request something that they don’t know about. Then he apologized and said he had forgotten. I ordered the salmon meal which is just salm with a small portion of lentils. For $30 there should have a substantial side. Not value for money. Came here last summer and it was much better.
Birthday outing for 2 at the bar. Great drinks, attentive service with a rotating staff and overall strong food offerings (chopped salad, regular pizza, minestrone soup, cauliflower and the meringueata (for 2) were all strong; the tagliatelle was the lone disappointment)
10/10 across the board. From the service, the food, the wine & the beautiful view of the Brooklyn bridge.
I had heard from a friend about this particular restaurant and I had been dying to try it for months. I figured Valentine's Day weekend would give me the perfect opportunity to do so with my fiancé. We had 7:30 reservations for dinner. We arrived early at 7 P.M. Since we were early I asked the hostess if we could sit at a window seat because the view is beautiful. The hostess told me that the wait for a window seat would be about 45 minutes. That was fine considering we would have to wait until 7:30 for our original reservations to be seated an extra 15 mins to wait for a view was fine by me. The wait was a little over 45 mins. We were brought to a table, that had no view AT ALL. I let it go. We were sat all the way in the back near the bar. The table was incredibly wobbly. A waiter came over in attempt to fix it, and could not fix it. They move us a few feet over to a different table. (Keep in mind, still not the table I requested .. and waited extra for. This table was also not stable at all. The same waiter comes over again to fix it. In the middle of him fixing it I was totally fed up at this point and asked if there were any where else for us to sit, and he insisted this table was fine. He fixed it and it was somewhat tolerable. The food portions were extremely small. I had a steak that was incredibly fatty and did not taste well at all. My fiancé got some kind of pasta that he finished in literally 10 bites with a side of meatballs. As we are paying, a couple sits down next to us and they are handed a pre-fixed Valentines Day menu with special pricing on it. My fiancé and I never even received that. Now I am even more furious. Moments later, the waiter comes over to the couple next to us and asks if they are ready to order and one of the gentlemen reply, "Yes, but we'd love to be moved to that section over there with the nice view, would we be able to move?" Without hesitation he replies yes, and moves them. HUGE disappointment. WILL NOT return!!!
Very good but not outstanding. Service was great. Food was good but expensive for what you get.
Great, great service. Beautiful location. Good and fairly traditional Italian fare. I highly recommend it. Especially as a date spot.
View's great, if you get seated near a window. Service is just average, which was a bit disappointing after hearing about the reviews. Forgetful waiter, drinks came out wrong, etc.
I’ve been to Cecconi’s several times and I just think their food and service have declined a little since my last visit. Their small tables a very wobbly.
Fantastic, great !
Awesome restaurant, everything was great. The food was exquisite.
while the restaurant has a lovely view and the food was above average, the seating was very uncomfortable, multiple tables including ours were shaky and wobbling. the waiters had to place something under the tables to balance them. Another weird fact was how low the chairs are for, I had to keep my legs in a curtesy to be somewhat comfortable. lastly the hostess and the waiter were having a heating discussion about the table arrangements right in front of us and was not professional at all. Overall, I was excited and had high expectations for this restaurant and was disappointed from the minute we sat and my table was wobbling all over the place.
We had such a wonderful evening at Cecconi’s. The food was incredible, the service was flawless and the ambiance was lovely. We could not have been happier.
Fantastic restaurant, we had a great evening . Will be looking for their London branch when we're back home.
We liked a lot!
Amazing restaurant and our server Ally was awesome!

Food was amazing! Service was amazing!
I booked a reservation for 9pm I got seated almost 10pm , they should have not had me wait that long. Overal everything was good.
The waiter was very nervous and impacient to serve us.
The food here is outstanding. This was my first time here and it automatically turned into my favorite restaurant. The atmosphere is wonderful, staff is very professional and friendly. Great experience overall. Can’t wait to come back!
Awesome food and an amazing location! We will come again for sure!
Everyone was kind when my significant other and I had arrived. They asked if we wanted a view or not which is awesome, because usually other places never ask for a choice. They just sit you down, so that was very nice we got to see a beautiful view and a romantic dinner. Food was delicious for the value. Great experience!
Food was great, servers are awesome, the greatest chocolate sauce!!!!
Had an amazing experience! It did take some time to receive appetizers...other than that awesome.
Birthday celebration with amazing food and quick service.
Pleasantly greeted at the door by the Maître D’ by name who then proceeded to walk us to the bar while momentarily our table would be ready. Once seated, server promptly came to the table, asking about our comfort, if we needed another drink, and gave us ample time to review the menu. Once our order was put in, our food came out with perfect timing, it offered us time to enjoy our appetizers and our main course came shortly after. Food was amazing. The truffle pasta was absolutely exquisite. I’ve been to cecconi’s about 6 times, and it doesn’t seize to amaze me. Great experience overall! A+ all the way. A must check out spot in Brooklyn.
A great night out for my sister's birthday dinner and for our guests.
Food was nice, me and my friend both had pasta (bolognese) service was average. Tables were so close together we could overhear everyone’s conversations which was umpleasant.
We were with two families and 5 kids. They made us feel really welcome and gave us great seats. Food and vibe were great!
