Mother’s Day with my hubby & MIL. Place is very pretty! First time for all of us even though we live around the corner. I ordered the clam bellies but they no longer serve them due to poor quality from vendor. I was a little disappointed but ordered the lobster roll instead. It was good. Not the best one ever, but good. French fries were to die for. MIL had fish & chips and enjoyed it very much. The winner was my husband’s lamb rack with mashed potatoes. Perfectly cooked. Just delicious. Pistachio cake & ice cream for dessert. Yummo!! Will definitely return! Server was awesome as well!!
Nice atmosphere, good food. Our waiter had a dry personality, but all other staff was helpful and very pleasant. Eat here, its a nice spot!
Hidden neighborhood gem. Good food, good service, good prices. Great bar and entertainment on weekend.
Great food, excellent service, good early bird specials
Took my mom for an early dinner on Easter, really enjoyed everything. I will be back for sure.
The Chatham House has really good food and the bartender made excellent martinis. The vibe and clientele were a lot older than us but they were having a great time dancing.
Great food and drinks would just prefer a younger crowd.
I am sorry but canned anything is not my idea of fine dining. Enough said!
Great dinner again. Second dinner this week at Chatham House, when we arrived restaurant was very busy. We ordered a drink at the bar while we waited for a table only took about ten minutes to be seated not bad for south Florida dining on a weekend
We brought a friend with us who had never been here before.
We all enjoyed our dinners very much. Service was excellent and paced just right. If you’re looking for a rushed dinner you won’t find it here
It is nice to be able to relax between courses and have conversations
Food was excellent service was excellent and we will definitely return on our next visit to the area
First time at Chatham after living in LBTS for a couple years. Everyone in our group of 6 was very impressed by Chatham. I think the slightly more upscale ambiance was a welcome contrast to most of the beach type restaurants in the area. The food was very good quality, and staff very friendly. They have a very attractive bar area with a piano bar, which is hard to find, with a small dance area. Overall we were extremely pleased. If you are looking for a calmer, more romantic, intimate setting, this is a good choice.
Delicious seafood and nice staff
Outstanding food, great service. Ambience a bit under-whelming.
The Restaurant name might imply that they only have New England seafood but the veal, pasta, antipasto and salmon were very flavorful.
Happy hour at the bar is on until 7pm.Seating at the booths are comfortable for dinner.Menu covers abundant choices as well as having specialties of the house.Wait staff is attentive and pleasant. All in all a nice place to visit for a quiet meal with friends .Conducive to conversation without having to raise your voice to be heard.Try them for a meal and I am sure you won't be disappointed.
Great food, atmosphere and service.
We decided to try Chatham House and are glad we did! Excellent. 4 of us we had veal Marsala, veal chop, chicken and lamb. All were excellent. Our waiter Paul was very good. We will return.
Service was great and the food was very good.
Great bar, music,food and service
We are locals and have been there before and were not disappointed once again. We did have reservations but it was fairly quiet with plenty of tables. The bar was somewhat lively with music and interaction between the musician and patrons. Very nice.
We were seated and the service is always spot on. The servers don’t rush you and the pace of the meal was perfect.
I ordered the veal sorrentina, which was veal topped with eggplant, prosciutto, tomato slice, and fresh mozzarella. AMAZING!! My husband ordered the rack of lamb, which was delicious.
Our appetizer was grilled octopus. Always a favorite of ours and this time was no different.
I always feel like I’m transported to another time when we dine there. Kind of an old school place...in a really fabulous way. Highly recommend
Was not impressed with this place. For a place on the beach at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night and only 5 tables I should have known something was not right. Service was slow and non-existent. Food was average , nothing special. Prices were ok. We used to eat at the old Pa D's all the time and its a shame what this place has become. Won't be back for many years but pretty sure they wont be here that long. Stay away
Food was good. The place was quiet. Took a very long time for our food to come out and when it did it was a little cool.
We had so much fun! Definitely for a more mature crowd--music is from the 60s--80s with lots of old favorites sung live. Bar Bites menu is great! Customer Service is outstanding! Food absolutely plentiful and delicious! They do not rush you and provided ample time to relax, chat, and dine at our leisure! Booth seating is comfortable, clean, and spacious.
What a find at the beach! Easy parking right at the front door, very nice bar, attentive service and elegant table setting in a casual atmosphere. If you want a quiet place with great food and superb service, this is the place for you. We tried the fresh fish and the lobster roll and both were excellent and moderately priced.
It was our first time here and found it surprisedly nice, cozy with very good food. Even though we were early for our reservation the host team agreed to let us in. The restaurant had a nice ambiance, music was suitable for a conversational dinner without shouting at each other, the presentation was excellent and the taste delicious. The food portions were adequate for adults, our server Alex was very friendly, polite and knew how to properly take care of a group, he was very detail oriented and understood our needs and special requests. I do recommend this place for picky eaters who want more quality food for their money.
I ordered eggplant parm which was very good with side of pasta. My fellow diners were also happy with their choices. We are a group with a few dietary requirements and the menu was varied enough that we could all find a good choice. If you are in a big rush this is not the place for you. But people who want to spend time talking with friends, etc. it is not a rushed place. We were there on a busy night and did not fell rushed at all.
We sat at the bar, we rec'd fabulous service, great food. We enjoyed a quiet evening of wine, apps, dinner and watching football.
Thanks for a great meal
We had been here for Happy Hour and thought we'd take a friend for dinner & birthday. The chef must have dumped the whole salt shaker into our sauces - we could hardly eat the food! Prices are too expensive for what you get! Sorry Mike, you were excellent!
Overall excellent dining experience. Our server, Michael was great. He was friendly and attentive. He checked to insure our meals were prepared as ordered. We did not have to ask for our drinks to be redilled as he was right on it. Both of our meals were tasty and serving size was just right. This was our first time at Chatham House but certainly not our last
Enjoyed Jeff as our server. Food was enjoyed by each guest. Ordered different entrees and all delicious. Meatball appetizer, salads, and seafood entrees were nicely presented and well prepared. Comfortable ambience and will return soon.
The Chatam House has a limited menu in the summertime. They do not have substitutions, not even something as simple as a bowl of vanilla ice cream if you don't eat tiramisu. However, all of the food was delicious. The service was excellent. Our waiter, Alex, was very personable and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant and one in which you can speak in normal tones and be heard by all parties at the table.
Food and Service good as usual. The staff is great. Great cocktails and food. Happy Hour process are outstanding. The lobster dinner special for $29.99 was a great value and delicious.
The restaurant has changed its sunset menu which now is extended to 10 pm but is more limited especially on desserts. Previously, they offered a delicious tiramisu or pistachio pound cake with pistachio ice cream. Now, the only dessert offered as part of this menu was vanilla ice cream. It was homemade and very good, but still...The salmon piccata was very good as was the salad. Service was great!
My waiter was very awesome. My steak was a bit over cooked however, they were fast to take care of it. I appreciated the service it was very generous. And, the environment was super amazing.
Beautiful property, but slow service, and a VERY over cooked lobster 😩
Pleasant surprise while on vacation, I was very pleased to find such authentic Italian fare here in southern Florida in a beach side community. Everything from rustic bread service to there red sauce and homade pastas were spot on. Will return when back in area again.
Our first visit was great! We didn't expect such beautiful ambiance and live entertainment. Food was good and menu selection great.
Excellent food, lovely decor and Alex was great and very patient with my friend specific issues...
Great singer on Thursday and Sundays- she was fabulous! Atmosphere is good, food good.
Unfortunately it took a very long time for the food to arrive and when it did one of the orders was incorrect and the other 3 orders came out cold. After sending the cold orders back they came back still barely warm....the plates were actually cool. The food did have a decent flavor however fell short due to not being hot. While they took a % off the bill the manager never came over to greet our table yet he managed to pay special attention to several other tables. I can understand why there were not many patrons.....would not go back.
We have been going to Lauderdale By The Sea for years and have not been to Chatham House previously. We discovered it on a walk by the restaurant and said we should give them a visit.
We made reservations on Open Table and are so Happy that we did.
Everything was wonderful from start to finish.
The service was excellent during the entire meal. Everybody's food was Excellent and some of the best we have had in South Florida. Desserts where also very good.
We will be back to visit again.
This was not our first visit to Chatham House, however it was the first time we were extremely dissatisfied with the food and the beverages. The place is lovely and the waiter was wonderful, but it took forever for our food to arrive and the restaurant was not that busy. We will not return.
