Christmas meal
Fantastic food. And head chef santosh was very cool
It was OK, we had the taste menu, the flavours were good but the quantities were small, the service was good, although fairly quiet as a Monday lunchtime.
Lovely food! I had the pistachio daiquiri which was different but very nice, the Chef came out to see us which was also very nice too. Overall good experience and great food!
I would come back again although there's a few points to make. For Christmas time, there were no incentives. Not even a cracker or a free drink with the meal. I wasn't filled with confidence when the table next to us cracked open the calpol, we hoped it wasn't because of a covid temperature... (This was out of the restaurants control i guess)
The table placement meant we were cold each time the door opened but to be honest if we mentioned it, I expect the staff would have moved us. The food was plentiful and well presented but the amount of onions was too much.
These are Covid times, I expect when were all free again 5 stars will be given.
Beautiful restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious - we had the feast menu and not a single dish disappointed. All in all a fantastic evening. Cannot wait to go again.
The food was outstanding - we had the festive feast which was excellent value for money. We had three courses and a bottle of wine. My partner had the lamb which was absolutely incredible - so soft and buttery. I had the cod which was also tasty. Definitely recommend the Christmas Pudding -more like sticky toffee, delicious! Really lovely evening, beautiful decor, and overall relaxing atmosphere. We also loved the open kitchen!
Great 21st birthday dinner, we will be back! Lovely food.
Very smart inside .
A nice atmosphere.
My starter was chicken tikka with a coriander chutney - delicious
Main... Keralan Boatmans fish curry ( made with pollock).. with steamed rice.
Wow... So good !
There was a slight mix up with my order of a tandoori roti ( received a garlic naan bread instead )... But never mind ; pleased I had it ... Delicious as well
Good , attentive and friendly service
Good value for Money.
I would definitely go back
Food was delicious, the waiting staff were very attentive and efficient and made me feel very comfortable bringing my one year old with me to lunch.
Fantastic as per.
Great service from the team at Antep, food was amazing.. Lamb ribs to die for
I had the Festive menu for £30. Everything on it was beautifully cooked and presented and very tasty to eat. The waiter obligingly opened a bottle when the wine I wanted was not available by the glass. Service was excellent but sadly, that's maybe partly because the restaurant only had a scattering of tables occupied. Covid has been so tough on eateries. And I got to chat to Santosh Shah, the Masterchef finalist. Charming man.
Great location, high quality food, nice atmosphere and helpful staff.
Good menu and would recommend
Perhaps the best Indian food I ever tasted - I will definitely be coming back later this year. The restaurant is conveniently located near the Curzon cinema, so it's good for a post-film meal. My main disappointment concerned COVID-19 precautions - I would have felt safer if the tables were separated by the plastic barriers often used by other restaurants, or if the cooking staff were wearing masks. Maybe there were practical reasons for this, though.
Outstanding sharing menu. Too much for 2 people but we worked our way through it ensuring empty plates and dishes so as not to waste anything. And great value at £25/head with a couple of cocktails thrown in for £10.
Food was ok but presentation lacking, everything served in terracotta dishes, white plates with some attention to presenting the dish was needed. Very overpriced, the restaurant is huge and appears grand. The food just dosnt' match.
Limited menu (which may be due to covid) but what they had was good. I personally don't like too much rice but most meals had rice
The breads were fresh and all food tasted good.
The white chocolate Bruce was amazing
Came for lunch on a Saturday. Went for the set menu, which was very reasonable. Food was amazing. Service good. Will definitely be back.
My husband loves Indian food and thinks this is one of the best Indian restaurants around. We had plenty of space, so no concerns.
Well looked after. Thoroughly recommend!
Fantastic food and a great atmosphere.
The food was fresh and very tasty. The service was friendly and efficient.
Open kitchen where you can see your food being made and chefs observing good hygiene.
Clean restaurant and bathrooms.
The food was nice, just the curry and rice/bread portion was not right, meaning we had some curry left at the end which went to waste. Also, the screens put up for COVID were just for design, not exactly a preventing screen, which were therefore useless. Overall a good experience.
We had the tasting menu.7 wonderful dishes and extraordinary value at the offer price of be£30.
One of the best meals we have had in Oxford in 30 years
The food is awesome and authentic North Indian taste. could do with A better portion of bread/rice in the set menu to
Make it value for money but the taste is very good and variety is very wel thought of.
The staff was cold and arrogant. (Especially the one serving our table.)
So much so that the comfort level to ask him for a surprise for my husbands bday (paid obviously!) was minimal.
Overall the best place in oxford for authentic Indian food and a good day spent.....
Another excellent meal for a birthday celebration.
The staff are attentive without being intrusive and the food was delicious.
Top tip - order double portions of peshwari. One portion isn’t enough!
Great food, really nice indoor and good staff! I would go again next time!
Delicious food, very nicely presented - a cut above most Indian restaurants.
Really good. Delicious. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that it wasn't Michelin star but nor are many very good restaurants. it was REALLY good.
Fab food, quick and friendly service. Location nicer than you expect.
We missed it - was even better than we had remembered
Great food, good service and lovely looking restaurant
Service was exceptional from start to finish, however, food left an awful lot to be desired. Four of us opted for the sharing menu so we could taste a variety of dishes, however, the portion sizes were more suitable for just two people, and, what we were served was, at best, average. Tough lamb and, whilst the fish curry was good, only 3 or 4 small pieces of fish between us! Maybewe just picked the wrong option, but won't be rushing back!
I have visited CK twice previously and was blown away by the service and food. Some of the food selections were so creative and amazingly enjoyable. Not this time!
For a venue of this (supposed) calibre you do not expect the waiter to get the order wrong; he did! The service was poor, in that we were left waiting for such a long period that I was almost at the point of leaving. When the waiter arrived, it was normal, bordering frustrating. Whilst I can say food was tasty, the menu was simply uninspiring. Is this a function of COVID times? And the portion sizes, and I know this is subjective, but the quantity of rice was minuscule.
Our experience was no more, and perhaps less, than any other regular Indian restaurant (is this what you are now?) and the sparkle we had before has been extinguished.
I’m sad to say that my enthusiasm to return has almost all gone.
Absolutely superb two course lunch. We are great Vivek Singh fans and have eaten at Cinnamon Soho so our expectation level was high and we were not disappointed. The food is so much better than many run of the mill indian restaurants and to have to wait 25-30 mins to get the most superb biryani was a delight. Special thanks to Bosco who served us splendidly.
Good good
Happy staff
We enjoy it and definitely recommend it to everyone 👌🙏
Food is excellent, such a wide variety. All staff were very polite and attentive. Highly recommend.
Nice atmosphere, the food was ok, but at the standard of an average take-away nothing special and about 3 times the price.
Not your typical Indian restaurant. The food is refined and delicious. Relatively quick service if you’re in need of a quick turn around too. Second visit. Would recommend.
Found the inside noisy with loud music so sat outside which would have been lovely apart from a very loud drunk group sat close to us which definitely spoiled the ambience for my husband. Food was delicious.
Food was absolutely delicious! Would definitely go there again
Amazing food as always. Really happy to see Cinnamon Kitchen open again. Haven't been disappointed with a meal out here yet.
