Copper Vine is a wine gastropub… a winepub. Our mission is to make wine accessible to everyone, to democratize wine. Wine should be easy and fun, not intimidating. Housed in a historic, Victorian building originally constructed in 1894, our aim is to be the neighborhood gathering place for downtown New Orleans with a simple, approachable menu that you can eat every day. With 30 different wines on tap, each pour the perfect temperature, we can ensure every glass tastes like the first sip. Sourced from the best local breweries, we promise that our eight beers on tap will go down just as smoothly.

The food was amazing and really affordable price. The service was initially really enthusiastic but after the introduction the server was really poker face and hard to get her attention when needing to get assistance. Server could’ve been more attentive on checking in on us .

Wonderful brunch on the patio. Everything was wonderful, but in particular the pork belly and corn fried oysters and the amberfish crudo were standouts. Loved the number of gluten free options. Would highly recommend.

We were very excited to dine here. All the gluten free forums online recommended Copper Vine for celiac. However our gluten free appetizer was contaminated with a battered fry. It got eaten by the person in our party who had celiac and he was sick for an entire 24 hours. This is completely unacceptable. The manager was very apologetic, however the appetizer and entrée of this person were the only things that were comped. I think the entire meal should’ve been comped, considering one of our guests was poisoned. Despite the amazing reviews, be careful when you come here with an allergy. EDIT: the GM called and was extremely apologetic. He explained that they take allergies very seriously and this was just one unfortunate mistake. He also refunded our entire meal.

Reservations: We didn’t make reservations too far in advance (we did it on Tuesday for the next day - Wednesday). That being said we probably had an easier time getting reservations because it was an off day. But we did hear them say to multiple people that they were fully booked for the night. Ambiance: This was a very cute restaurant. I’d say a date night would be the ideal reason to come here. Food: Pork Belly and Oysters Appetizer - this was probably my favorite thing we got. The oysters were crispy, the pork belly was tender. It paired really well the blue cheese dressing they had with it. Overall we were glad the waitress recommended it. Chicken Sandwich - my wife and I split both the chicken sandwich and burger which you’ll see below. Both were good (probably not great though). The flavor was good. I primarily tasted the dill pickle slaw. I didn’t taste much of the hot sauce (it wasn’t spicy). Last note, the bun was definitely bigger than the meat. So I just ate until the meat was gone. Wagyu Burger - Also good (not great). Primary taste here was the burger itself. The grilled onions on there were a nice touch. While I enjoyed it, it was just a simple burger. Truffle Fries (side) - I got the side of truffle fries. Honestly, I probably would not get this again only because there wasn’t enough truffle flavor on there (it felt like I was mostly eating just normal fries). Brussel Sprouts (side) - These were really good. Very crispy. Lots of parmesan cheese. The aioli was good to dip them in. Overall: We enjoyed our experience, but we likely will not go back because… 1. We have had better experiences at similar restaurants in the area 1. (competitors when it comes to walking distance restaurants to the dome / smoothing king center) 2. There was not anything that made us saw “wow, that is so good and we need to come back for that”.

The Fish Almondine was amazing and so were the beignets! Best I have ever had! I was so stuffed but was not leaving a bite because it was so good! Great server who was great at recommendations. So glad I listened to her!

The service was impeccable! The food was presented with class. The drinks were delicious. I tried the burden of proof. Excellent choice for anyone who likes whiskey. The cornflake fried chicken sandwich was amazing. Try it with Gruyère It takes it out of the park! Shoot for the patio seating. It is the best and most relaxing area in the restaurant. We will come back many more times in the future.

We went here for our final dinner in New Orleans. Dinner started off great. Oyster trio was delicious as was the Gumbo Soup. We’d highly recommend both. Dinner turned downhill after the apps. Our entrees arrived immediately after apps. I quickly ordered a bottle of wine to accompany the meal. I was then told the wine was out of stock - totally understand that happens. So we ordered a bottle of the house Pinot noir. It came in an unlabeled bottle and tasted like a Cabernet. Upon pointing this out - I was told the manager would be in touch to sort it out. Long story short we had a decent dinner without wine. By the time the waiter agreed that the wine bottle wasn’t what we had ordered - we had finished our entrees. They made up for it by offering a free glass of wine. Bottom line is that if you’re at a restaurant that proclaims to be a wine bar - you sort of expect them to be able to deliver wine in conjunction with the meal. Maybe just an off night. But it felt like the service team could have worked to rectify the issue more quickly instead of waiting 20+ minutes. Customers coming to a place like this typically will want to have a glass of wine with their entrees.

Our waiter, Chance, provided excellent service, advice on our food and went and did a little extra when we found one of the wines we wanted was not available. I would go back to Copper Vine any time! This was a wonderful restaurant.

My hubs and I dined here late in the afternoon of Mardi Gras. The service was so warm and friendly - the total experience was a great extension of the revelry of the day. The food was fantastic. We shared the Cajun Caviar Deviled Eggs, the Louisiana Crawfish Beignets, and the Wagyu Burger. It was more than enough food for us, and we were starving when we walked in the door! We will definitely be back to further explore the menu.

Looking for a bite between a long day of parades then more parades. The food was exceptional! Omg the Eggplant Appetizer was worth the trip by itself. Wonderful service super friendly and professional. Loved the ambiance. Perfect experience! ❤️❤️❤️

My husband and I were there for lunch. The space is Bright and welcoming. We each had a drink. I ordered the Connecting Flight. It was very tasty, but very tiny. Not worth the price tag. The wait for our meal was longer than expected. The waitress told us it was just a busy afternoon. When the food arrived, it was delicious. I had the chicken gumbo and tomato mozzarella sandwich and my husband had the Cuban sandwich. We shared an order of Beignets for dessert. Overall it was a nice, relaxing meal. Away from the crazyness of the French Quarter during Mardi Gras.

The service was outstanding. Felicia was very attentive and was able to answer all our questions about the menu. Dessert was by far the winner. We ordered the bananas foster bread pudding. Yum!

Enjoyed everything at the Copper Vine, from the food to the drink selection and the atmosphere!!! Super fresh ingredients and I love all the different size wine options, allows you to try a few without breaking the bank.
