As always, lovely staff and lovely food. Today we had the prix fixe menu and, for the first time, started with the Marinated Tomato Salad, Chèvre cream, rocket, raspberry dressing & brioche croutons. It was very light and refreshing, the tomatoes sweet and bursting with flavour. For those who are nervous about goats cheese which can sometimes be strong, the cheese was very gentle and worked well against the raspberries. It's a perfect start to a new cheese journey!

I have eaten at Cote for lunch several times with friends and the food has always been really good. On Friday we went for dinner with friends and fancied the mains on the prix fixe menu, not sure if this (menu) was the mistake but, the leek and potato soup was like dish water, watery and tasteless with no hint of veg. My tomato salad was many quarters of unripe and tasteless tomato that I had to cut the cores out of they were so tough, it was the ugliest dish I’ve ever seen. There were no vegetables with the main courses. If I was giving advice I would say steer clear of the prix fixe menu and stick with the main menu, more expensive but hopefully better quality🤷‍♀️ The (posh labelled) 0% beer was weak and tasteless, compared to premium brand 0% beers available. On the upside, the wine we had was nice and the service was very good, friendly and attentive staff. We did tell the waitress about our starters and they apologised and advised they would speak to their manager and also tell the chef, we wondered if they would deduct a small amount off the bill as a gesture of our disappointment but they did not and nothing more was said. A shame but we won’t be returning to Cote and we would not recommend.

We pushed the boat out, by accident! We bumped into a rosé offer with 2 glasses of Mirabeau giving you the bottle... it would be rude not to. It was light, crisp and bursting with aromas of peach and Provençal herbs which suited our starters and main courses. Thinking that was it, we shared a cheese plate which led to a lovely glass of Calvados, one of the nicest we've had. Oh, and an emergency chocolate and cherry crepe to share at the very end. It was a lovely accidental few hours on Cote Farnham's balmy terrace. Highly recommended... as usual!

Another bad experience at Côte Farnham. Starters of the crab and calamari were good. Sadly that’s where it ends. The chicken Breton was cold and overcooked, the chips were cold, the dauphinoise potato was burnt on top and on the bottom, replaced but came when meal was finished. Mushroom sauce was not served with chicken and again arrived after several asks and arrived when meal was finished. The staff were harassed and the chef was rude in front of customers to the manageress who was clearly having to placate customers due to the awful food being served. We were hoping that things might have improved from the last visit - clearly not.

Very good food had the charcutery board. The service was quick and efficient. The store was clean and had a good atmosphere i would recommend cote brasserie.
