Our name is Carlos and Carla Rodriguez, and we are twins. In Veracruz Mexico, our hometown, Cuates means twins. Our passion has always been food. This started in Veracruz watching our abuela and abuelo make queso (the real kind), barbacoa, empanadas and homemade tortillas. Immigrating to the United States, our passion for food has continued. We have always been in the restaurant business including our parents. After much encouragement from friends and family who have tried our food, our family decided to take the plunge and start a food truck! So here you have it! Cuates Kitchen! It's family run, and I dare say the best Mexican food in Dallas. We serve authentic Veracruz food of which we think our abuelos would be proud. Come check us out or have us cater your next event. Great food. Great drinks. Good music. Small establishment but great restaurant. If you want that loud vibrant patio feel, it’s not it. Mellow vibe.

We were in town for vacation and found this amazing spot. My daughter is celiac and the GF options were amazing. Almost there hole menu was gf. The taste was so good, we actually ended up eating here twice on the trip cause both the kids liked it so much. Start to finish this was a great experience. The appies, drinks, mains and churros for dessert did not disappoint!

This place is now probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Dallas, the food is amazing, the drinks are great and they have a great selection of tequilas. The guiso is great, the sopes are as good as any I’ve had, great ceviche, picadillo, tinga, it’s all very good, and the people there are family and wonderful.

Such a fun surprise! We almost drove right past it because it's tucked away behind a 7-Eleven, but it's absolutely worth seeking out. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was charming, and everything we ordered was full of flavor. We'll definitely be back!

Our party of 6 loved Cuates Kitchen. Great menu, service and vibe. The only hiccup was my enchiladas were not warm, just room temperature. Hope to return and have a hot meal.

Cuates was so good! Def need to go back and try more stuff. We ate off of the brunch menu. Big plates so come hungry! The ONLY downside was we felt a little rushed to order and finish. We wanted to hang out and catch up with old friends but we went somewhere else after eating to finish chatting. Other than that the drinks and food were delicious! Waitress was so nice and helpful with recommendations.
