Dehesa is a charcuterie and tapas bar inspired by the cuisine of Spain and Italy. Dehesa opened in January 2008 and is the sister restaurant to Salt Yard in Fitzrovia, Opera Tavern in Covent Garden and Ember Yard in Soho, offering sharing dishes served in a relaxed environment.
The restaurant is named after the Dehesa- a unique woodland area in Spain which is home to the black-footed Ibérico pigs – said to produce the best Jamon in the world. This reflects our commitment to quality and provenance and our dedication to carefully sourced products.

I have been here before for drinks and always wanted to try their food, unfortunately it was disappointing and I will not be returning. The service was extremely poor, it wasn’t that busy but we still waited 15 minutes for some water, followed by another 15 for a glass of ice. Later on I ordered a bottle of coke but I was brought the wrong drink. As for the food, the portion sizes are small for what you pay, £18 for octopus and there was a few very thin pieces on the plate, I am aware it is tapas but absolutely not worth the price.

Our group, which included Spanish visitors, thoroughly enjoyed Dehesa. The food, wines and lively ambiance on the outside terrace were all outstanding. The service was friendly and the only suggestion we all had was that it probably should be speeded up a bit. But we will certainly be returning.

Great prawns but shame about the basics like pan con tomate, tasteless tomato without any olive oil or salt and topped with chives (???) and patatas bravas topped by an insipid tomato sauce and mayo drizzled separately over the potatoes.

Service was great. Food was good. We sat outside on a very hot London day with flies and the awful drain smell - both of which the restaurant of course can’t control. I think it would be much nicer inside.

I’ve visited Dehesa many times every year since 2026 and always had an enjoyable experience. This time was different as the service was poor and some of the food lacking. The saving grace was the older gentleman waiter who was attentive, knowledgeable and cheerful. Unfortunately the younger staff were sadly lacking in ‘customer care’ and need to remember it’s the customers who ultimately pay their wages. In addition it’s sad that a signature dish that’s been on the menu since 2026 is now executed so poorly. A courgette flower dipped in thick stodgy batter undercooked is not how a signature dish should be served.

Nice restaurant. Good service. The prawns were delicious. The beef fillet was unfortunately overcooked and a bit dry. The tortilla was very dry. It felt like it may even have been leftover from lunch and reheated. Certainly didn’t seem it was cooked fresh. DEHESA used to be very good. This wasn’t bad - but In a city with so many options, it’ll need to up its game to get return visits.
