Dock of the Bay
Great customer service
Please disregard the previous negative comments, they were describing my experience at another restaurant Bowley’s on the bay
I pushed the wrong button
You were the one that saved us on Saturday 1/30/21...you made us feel great and welcomed not like the restaurant we had came from. The food was outstanding and our waiter was on point, we will definitely be back
Food was great! Service was too! Place is slow in winter but, worth the trip! With the Covid I don't take Mom (88) out much.
We were happy that DOTB was appropriately social distanced, clean, and well staffed. The food was amazing, very generous portions, and priced very well. Our waitress was great, nearby when we needed her, but not hovering. We definitely will be back.
I reserved this by mistake. We decided to go anyway. The food a d service was fine. I think it will be a wonderful place in the summertime when you can sit outside a d watch the boats come and go!
One of my favorite spots. These are trying times for all right now so some issues can be expected. Wanted the scallops but were told the ones they have were small. Another customer got them and really they should not have bothered using those for a replacement. They were tiny salad size. Crabs cakes were good but not the best ever. I usually like their monthly specials but those were not on their menu. Hope they get those back. Love some of that food that makes them special compared to all the other places down here. Waitress was very polite and nice but slow to bring us drinks or check on us. And my husband who can not have alcohol ordered the Heineken 0 which he was delighted they had but they first brought him the regular ones by mistake.
Great view. Great service from the waitress Taylor and the other staff. Great food & Drinks. Certainly worth our drive.
During COVID Open Table needs to be deactivated so reservations are not turned away.
Food was sloppy, french fries weren’t done.Service was great
The food was very good (4stars), but our server, Maddie, was excellent.
Great atmosphere and food. A great place to eat by the water.
Nice atmosphere. Friendly service and good food. We will be back!
Highly sanitized especially tables and chairs after each customer
Reasonable prices and superior service (several severs)
Great water views of Curtis Bay exceptional alternative to Annapolis eateries less expansive quality and service
Stunning bay and lighthouse views, perfectly steamed heavy crabs, nice cocktails, nice variety of appetizers and entrees, friendly service. What's not to love?
Awesome place, first timers. Service and waitress was great as well, very friendly waitress. Food was great too...
We were a party of six. Our waitress Nicole was great. Attentive but not hovering. The cream of crab soup was better than any place I've tried so far. A 4 or 4 1/2 but not quite a 5. Everyone loved the crabcakes. I ordered Chicken Chesapeake. The Imperial on top was rich and tasted good. The chicken was burned on the bottom, dry and chewy. I didn't finish it. Everyone really enjoyed the desserts. We sat closed to the bar where the music was a little annoying because it was so tinny, but the overall ambiance is quite nice. We will be going back soon. I think we'll ask for a table a little farther from the bar.
The crab cakes we got were spoiled with a sour taste we were told sometimes it's the water the crab came out of we did not eat the food and it was taken off our check it was my first visit and I will never go back we were extremely disappointed I also ended up having gastrointestinal problems that evening.
Service was excellent, food was above average, the view was outstanding.
Excellent food, excellent service and excellent price. We will be going back!
Great lunch on a sunny day on the deck - good crab cakes
Outdoor seating on the water on a beautiful day to enjoy birthday celebration & steamed crabs. One problem, the flies outside were horrible. Our server, Nicole, suggested that we move inside & set us up with a view of the water! She was amazing. Always checking to make sure we had all we needed but not overbearing. The crabs were fabulous. The service - outstanding! Would reccomend Dock of the Bay to all our family & friends.
I am sorry to say that it was not good at. We ordered two dozen crabs and at least a dozen were paper shell with no meat inside. The ones that we did eat did not taste good at all. The crab cakes and crab soup were excellent as well as the service. We have had crabs there multiple times this year and they have always been great but not this time. We will return again.
The ambience of the restaurant is fantastic! The service was below par especially considering there was only a few people eating. Somewhere between the kitchen and waitresses the sandwiches were not correct. Three out of four people dining weren’t happy with their food. Bland was the complaint. As much as I like the view I’ll probably never go back.
Stacie waited on us again and the service was awesome The food was great as usual everything we have had here has been very good. We also saw Jordan she is also awesome. It is very nice to get great service with big smiles on there faces. We will be going back again soon.
We have been there several times this summer and the crabs I had Saturday night were great. Full of meat and seasoned great.
Such a beautiful setting. I love bringing friends here. Great place to introduce out of towners to Maryland seafood and the Chesapeake Bay.
The crabs I have had everytime I've been have been so nice and full and great flavor. I've also had the crabcakes and they're like I like em...no filler and allow the crab flavor to come through.
I do and will continue to recommend this sweet lil spot.
Beautiful location with view on the Bay - this is why we have gone there a few times.
But the food, including the steamed crabs, are not great at all. After coming back a few times hoping for better quality (e.g hard to find carb pieces in the crab dip), we have unfortunately decided to give up hope on having good food there.
I love the bay and the food......🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀🦀.
Waitress was wonderful. Even talked with me before my guest arrived.
It was a gre
We were unable to keep our reservation because the air conditioning was broke. Hopefully it will be fixed the next time we go.
Our second experience the following week was excellent. Food and service was great.
It had to be one of the hottest days of the year. The air conditioner stopped working but eventually came back on. Selection was limited but the food was good
Will return before summer ends.
Kitchen did not follow instructions and fried all of the seafood. Had to wait to remake. Wasn't busy enough for that kind of mistake.
Crabcakes were full of lump meat with little filler!
Everything was fine except for what was suppose to have been a crab fluff. It was just a fried crabcake. Asked waitress about it and response was that it was a crabfluff. It didnt look like the picture at all on ur website menu items. The po boy fried shrimp sub was very small and the nachos, well what can i say - but - Yuk!!. My sisyer got a soft crab sandwich which was tough to chew - not crispy at all.
Food was ok....I expected more, being from the Baltimore area crabcakes have a high bar (old bay is your friend)...the view is great. But the only problem we had was when we sat on the dock they opened our table umbrella and spiders were everywhere so we ended up eating inside on a perfect day.
Perfect setting for a relaxing Sunday afternoon date or family dinner. Relaxed atmosphere, right on the water. Customer service was on point and the food was good and plentiful. No complaints!
Awesome food! Amazing views and ambience and decent service! A wonderful find that certainly solved my craving for great seafood!
Waitress was busy with her 60 group party and not our table of 5. Didn’t give our credit card back we found it in the register machine because we couldn’t find our waitress. We asked the guy cleaning the table next to our to refill our drink.
5/16. It was Father’s Day and the whole family got together.
Our service was very good. Disappointed that when we arrived steamed crabs weren't available, it was early evening on a weekend. We ordered the Crab Fluff. I'm old school and have enjoyed crab fluffs at many restaurants. In our opinion crab fluffs are crab cakes dipped in thick batter and deep fried. These so called Crab Fluffs had absolutely no batter on them. They were simply crab cakes that were deep fried. That was a real disappointment. Side dishes of coleslaw, creamed spinach, fries and cucumber salad were very good. Our appetizers, hot wings and baked potatoes covered with crab dip were all very good. So I suggest the kitchen give the Crab Fluffs the batter they deserve.
