   Dockside is amazing. The views are spectacular from any seat and the staff are fantastic. Oh and the food is so good. Particularly the souvlaki flatbread- yum. Highly recommend!

   Tonight was the first time my partner and I came here, it was for his birthday dinner. We had a wonderful experience with Jamal as our server and the outdoor seating was perfect!

   The food is mediocre, especially for the price. Nothing sets this restaurant apart from other restaurants like it. It’s not great when you are served paella with mussels that are not cooked. We had to say something about it. The view is beautiful though.

    Not very accommodating to food allergies, seems like lack of communication between kitchen and server. Server came back and told us that management cared about us but no follow up from management about what they could do. Over all not a great experience for a fine dining establishment.

    I was really disappointed in this restaurant. I took my dad for his birthday and when we got there we found out there was only the happy hour menu until 5pm (which is only like 5 things). We did go at 3pm however I thought we would either have the lunch or dinner option. It doesn’t tell you anywhere on the website as I tried to find any information on the menu hours. So because of that we ended up leaving and going somewhere else for food. Very disappointed! The service was slow we waited over 10 minutes for drinks. The view was absolutely gorgeous though.

    The view and the ambience at Dockside is always excellent. We had a wonderful waiter who was very attentive and also had a good sense of humour which we appreciated. However, my friends and I still miss the bowtie pasta with shrimp, it was always a go to. Also, we miss the shrimp sandwich as we often find the menu limiting if you don't eat meat. Happy you no longer have bacon in the caesar's salad but what's up with those tiny croutons instead of the normal one...? My friends and I always made it our first choice when dining out. The same when my husband was alive but the menu (which is slightly improving) doesn't do much for us anymore. We loved the Easter buffet though and hope you have it for Christmas 2023!

    I was a little disappointed, as a regular, plus having a reservation that we were seated in a windy area which resulted in me requesting to be moved. This is my go-to restaurant and I always consider it before any others!! I was hosting a friend from Victoria and wasn't impressed. Pam Allen

    A true mixed bag. Greeting great, server nice, though stretched? Bus boy efficient & polite. The food runner another story however. We looked for the cameras as it must be a joke, reminiscent of the elbow room. The shared starter was great, however how can 3 scallops be considered a "shared plate" would have been fine simply as a starter. Duck was excellent but accompaniments were not. The halibut failed completely.

    I had an extraordinary experience overall! However, there was a significant delay in receiving our food, taking over an hour. Nevertheless, I would absolutely consider revisiting in the future.

    Fabulous server. Really enjoyed his sense of humour. I have eaten here many times and this is the first time I have been disappointed in the food. The selection, the quality and the value. We asked for extra parmesan for the pasta and were charged for it. That is a first for me. Focaccia bread $8.00 was 4 maybe 5 small slices. Parking is difficult to find. It was free after 6.

    First off parking at dockside on a Saturday is a mess, and there was no mention on the dockside website that there has been construction next to the restaurant taking up spaces. When we sat down and mentioned my brother has been circling to find parking. The server said that dockside does not run the parking lot and there’s nothing they could to do. In an addition to that she also said in a rude way that she walks on to Granville island and recommends my brother does that. From the start of her “service” she was very rude and no compassion to the fact the we were celebrating my mom’s birthday. We ended up going to another restaurant, we spoke to the manager and again were met with rude responses and he walked away as we were speaking to him. Fun fact Dockside the reason people come to restaurant is to spend money, and treating your guests rudely without and care is a great way to drive away customers. And if there is construction that has been going on for a year, how about letting your guests know on your website!

    We’ve eaten at Dockside many times and have always enjoyed it a lot. It’s lost a star this time however because parking anywhere near the hotel proved impossible. Our outdoor seating was in the “back” patio outside the dining room and it really felt like a step down from their designed outdoor dining area. Two of our wine choices were unavailable. The dinner selections were “meh”. We won’t be back this year.

    Beautiful location and fantastic patio. Service was just ok, server was apathetic. They didn’t have the orange blonde beer I ordered from the menu and was just given a salted lime lager of the same brand. It wasn’t very good (or what I wanted) and I decided not to make a scene when I pointed it out but he just said “that’s all they had”. Everything else was fine, not outstanding. Come here for the patio, not the food. I’ve been here a few times and previous service was great so this waiter is just an anomaly.

    We introduced our friends who recently moved to the West End to the Dockside patio and they loved it! They both loved that they could ride their bikes over and meet us there so easily. Our server was so personable and the food is always good. The location is awesome and we like it because it’s not in the crazy busy area of Granville Island so great for conversation and that amazing view of False Creek. We told them to take advantage of the happy hour specials for great deals and they assured us they would be back!

    The patio was lovely and the views of False Creek never gets old. We had a couple beers, duck confit salad, and a flatbread. The duck confit was seriously good; potato pave pan-fried in duck fat (?) is simply divine. Service is friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. Perfect lunch on a sunny day.

    Venue is great for group and family setting. Make sure you make reservation for outdoor patio if that is what you prefer. We were able to get an outdoor spot but we asked to move back indoor due to the heat and sun. Restaurant staff was very accommodating and had no hint of annoyance. I appreciate them very much. I plan to return again.
