Double Rainbow Bar & Eating House is The Rechabite's fast and furiously tasty eating house, with styles and flavours inspired by the backstreets and alleys of Greater Asia.
The Double Rainbow Bar & Eating House extends from a lively William St. alfresco area through to the laneway entrance just off the Perth Cultural Centre.
Featuring a range of long, shared dining tables and the chefs counter seating options that overlook all of the theatrics of our stunning open kitchen and its exotic smokes, fire and drama.
The Double Rainbow Bar & Eating House offers a wide array of eating experiences all throughout the night, every Wednesday - Sunday.

My partner and I ordered the roasted pumpkin, smoked beetroot, pulled beef spring roll and the pork loin, all of which were scrumdiddlyumptious. We will definitely be going back for seconds.. the food is top notch and prices are reasonable and in line with the quality.

Early dinner reservation for the yuck circus, group of six we were offered 2 course express menu, we explained that one person didn't eat seafood, we were told it would be ok? First course was tuna and curry eggs and scallop dumplings so Im not sure what part of that doesnt include seafood. We were only offered one drink through out the sitting with no follow ups. The main course was waygu beef skirt and potatos which all came out in different times. Overall the meal was below par , the lack of caring about non seafood eaters , lack of drink service and then pay $520 for it. Im sorry I wont be returning as this used to be a great experiance.

We always have great food here and the kitchen really gets the food flying out. We have been several times and will keep coming back when the food is this tasty. Serving sizes are good and we ended up only ordering small plates because there were too many tasty options there.

Yet another outstanding meal from this establishment, it has been two and a half years since we last eat here, the new menu is outstanding especially the white choc tiramisu(to die for), we will definitely be back for the new menu and the end of the month.

The food was very tasty and cocktails were delicious. However the Korean fired chicken was served partly raw (still pink in the middle) so we quietly sent it back without making a fuss. The hostess came back and argued that it “was cooked” and “that’s just how it is sometimes” but did offer us a variety of options to make up for it, including a refund. When we went to pay, she blatantly avoided showing us the bill and upon inspection of the receipt, the dish was still on there and charged for. I went back to politely ask for it to be refunded and was shocked by how rude she was - cutting off the waiter who was now helping me and walking away before I could even say a word post-refund. We had no issue having to send back the dish (that stuff happens) but have a HUGE issue with her attitude and evasive approach to the situation. I have been to Double Rainbow multiple times before and have never had a problem but we were incredibly disappointed by this experience and probably won’t be back because of this.

Delicious menu - we went al la carte and had a bit of envy with the table next door that ordered the feast. But I we all felt well fed and our taste buds were very happy. Great mix of veggie and protein dishes

I was lured in by photos on Insta and it did not disappoint. Attentive friendly staff, great vibe, delicious food, beautiful wine as recommended by one of the wait staff. We dined early so it was chill and not too busy, I like the like tables and that food hall sit next to strangers setting. Highly recommended and we’ll be back💯

As always we thoroughly enjoyed Double Rainbow! Was great to try the new menu although we ordered so much and it all came so quickly that it didn't fit on the table we managed to eat it all (leeks were the standout of the night and chicken was disappointing). Overall fab times and we will be back!

We enjoyed our feed me menu . We had the pescatarian main which was a barramundi. Itv was a little salty but overall we enjoyed all the dishes presented ! The dessert bento was an add on but at $28 it was a big serve enough for 4 pp . Service was attentive until it got a little busy . Will definitely return but fine early if you don’t want the noise

Beautiful as always. I didn’t dine with my boyfriend tonight but with a friend and the express feed me was perfect as we were due to see a show. Service is always exceptional and I tried a few dishes that I have previously avoided in favour of my favourites. I have new favourites now. Thanks to Anna for always making us feel so welcome and making sure we get to our show on time. Hope you have a speedy recovery ❤️‍🩹 already looking forward to mine and Shane’s next visit 😊

A very professional service with an amazing array of menu choices inclusive of vegan dishes. You deserve Michelin stars. The staff were very helpful and it was amazing seeing how proficient the chefs were behind the bar. Everything tasted well balanced and there was high consistency in how every dish was prepared and presented. Really exceeded my expectations. Thanks for raising the bar in Perth.

Absolutely incredible! Super service, fun and funky setting, and extraordinary food options! We enjoyed a variety of small and large dishes. The beets and snake beans were fantastic and made even better with the must get ban chan for the chef’s special spicy sauce. This sauce is so special and should be bottled! The edamame were elevated and nice to share. My partner enjoyed the beef spring rolls and beef short ribs. This is a true gem in Perth!

We had a big group so opted for the banquet, deciding to eat rather than think! Every dish was spot on, served at the right pace, and all very delicious, with unusual flavour pairings and consideration given to textures. We asked the wait-staff to charge us individually for drinks and it was no hassle at all, they took our orders at the table and we paid as we went, so it was all too easy and there was no billing awkwardness at the end. There's heaps of options for vegans & vegetarians, in fact the meat eaters had plate envy! The vibe is buzzy, the decor is artsy without being pretentious. Love your work, Double Rainbow!

We had the Plateful chef’s choice menu. They catered wonderfully for my gluten allergy and mine friends dislike of seafood and poultry. Food was delicious and no room for dessert 😞 Service was efficient and prompt with great timing on dishes bought to the table.

Despite being super busy and having a staff member feint, our server was so lovely. We were all impressed how easily and kindly all our different dietary requirements were handled with the set menu. Also everything was so delicious. We had a great time… THANK YOU!

Vegan dessert??? Seems like a contradiction in terms but the pastry chef must be a magician. Outstanding... The ginger cake with white chocolate mousse and strawberry sorbet was an absolute delight to my taste buds after the salty and spicy experience of the main course. Great night out. We dined early and were out the door within an 1.5 hour which was perfect for our theatre booking.

I love double rainbow, this is one of my favourite places to eat and enjoy the Korean fusion inspired food. Chef Nav and his team are very professional and passionate about what they produce. Great varied menu, lots of dietary options. Fab service and excellent food. Felt slightly rushed to exit and were reminded 3 times that the table was needed back by a certain time, of which we were aware and not at yet.

We did a tapas style with the meal and there was only two dishes that I had enjoyed which was the octopus and the taro tiramisu in the bento box. The “chilli muscles” were very disappointing it was so sweet and not the flavours I was expecting. It was a once off experience to try but unfortunately I will not be going back.

Food & Service was great. We did the $79 set menu and it was a great way to get to know the dishes available. Good variety and yummy flavors. Only disappointment was the state of the toilets down stairs. The unisex toilet was dirty and unkept. Also, the music vibrations got a bit loud later in the evening.

We had booked a celebration dinner for 5 on Friday night. Overall it was a great experience except that our table was located at the exit door to the kitchen and every time a team used this door to dispense of dirty dishes, a cold wind would pass over the table. We requested if we could move to a vacated table next to us but was flatly refused! At this stage, we hadn't ordered any food except for 3 drinks and found this disappointing as the table was not filled for about half an hour. We felt that it was an easy change! We decided to order the "Feast" for $79 per person as it was easier than having to decide on what to order.... We had 7 dishes in total. The food was pretty good for Korean..ish Asian cuisine and I am very particular with Asian cusisine as I am of Asian origin. Most oustanding dishes was the (1) Tuna + Yuzu Kosho+ Scrambled Egg+ Nori, (2) Prawn Wontons with Miso Harrissa (Great combo of sauce) & (3) The Waygu with Kampot Pepper sauce. We (the whole table) weren't into the Smoked Beetroot dish. It was too smokey for us. By the time dessert arrived, we were full upand had to ask for TA containers for the food that wasn't eaten! So at $79 dollars per head...it was great value! The service was oustanding and the young lass was very helpful and friendly and always had an open smile. Only complaint...please clean the toilets!!! It was pretty unkempt! We'll return but will order Ala Carte next time!
