My wife and I had a great time at DC steak house. Our server, Brooke, was awesome and took great care of us. We will be asking for her next time we go. Appetizers were great as well. We had the tomahawk special for the night, which was served for two. We ordered it medium rare and it was definitely rare. It still tasted great! Overall good restaurant.

I booked this reservation at DC steakhouse for my girlfriend's birthday which I indicated when I booked it. when we checked into the restaurant the hostess should have wished my girlfriend a happy birthday and she did not he brought us to our table and no one acknowledged us for another 15 minutes. typically water would have been brought out immediately and maybe some complimentary bread..but no. the restaurant was clean and had ambience. it was not overly busy and appeared to have three or four servers on hand. when our server finally came to us he did not ask us if we were celebrating a special occasion or tell us about any specials. her drink order came within a reasonable amount of time but mine took a while. we ordered the same exact food items and it took a very long time to come out.. and mine was missing one of the entree main items, and the waiter seemed mystified about it even though we ordered the same. exact .items. he went back to the kitchen to get it corrected, and had the item in a decent amount of time. As he was carrying out his duties he did not check in with us more than twice during the night, and never made eye contact as he was walking by. I had to get a random other person to get me a second drink. When he offered the dessert menu, I said "well the Birthday Girl can get whatever she wants"(dropping a strong hint to him). He said "oh I didn't know it was your birthday"... my girlfriend told him that when I made the reservation I indicated the birthday on OpenTable but no one has acknowledged it. He said oh ok I will bring a special dessert out. she ordered a dessert and he brought an additional one with the one she ordered. both tasted great. It was a decent night, but for what you're paying and for them dropping the ball in the multiple ways they did it was absolutely not a success.
