   Restaurant is inside the Kimpton Pittman Hotel. They have live music and was a nice touch for us during brunch. The bartender made some great tasting cocktails.

   We won’t be coming here again. Our brunch on Sunday was abysmal. The pancakes were heavy and tasteless, the eggs were poorly prepared, even the espresso was sub par and the service matched the food. It is too bad, because the setting is lovely.

   Reservation was at 830. Took 10 mins for someone to great us at the door. Then once sat another 20 mins for drinks. An hour and a half later we had only received the first course of the special menu. No horseradish or cocktail sauce for the oysters and the endive salad left something to be desired. Drinks were extremely pricey. It wasn’t even that busy but the kitchen and staff were not prepared for Valentine’s Day.

   Valentines pre-fixe dinner menu took 1.5 hours to get our first course of oysters. Had to take Valentine’s dinner to go as they finally had entrees ready two hours and 15 minutes in. Staff could not tell us what was going on or even be bothered to check in on us. The food was atrocious. Oysters came destroyed in about 3 different pieces each. My pasta had sauce and my fiancée’s didn’t despite being the same order. The steak was rubbery and inedible and cooked to medium well when ordered medium rare. Throw in a complete lack of parking and it was the worst dining experience I’ve had in years.

   I had the absolute worst dining experience in my life. We waiting 1:30 hours to get served a salad. We also waiting 20 minutes for anyone to serve us. Our main course was so disgusting that we didn’t even eat it and requested a refund. I have worked in the food industry and never in my life have I seen it take 2 hours for someone to get a salad. I will never return.

   Did the Valentine’s Day pre-paid experience. Pasta was undercooked and crunchy. Mashed potatoes were bland. Steak was good. Disappointed overall in the food quality especially when it was over $100 per plate.

    I am a Diamond Elite member traveling for business, staying at the Kimpton-Pittman Hotel. I get free vouchers to come and try this place for breakfast, and the service is terrible. Let's start by me calling the hotel front desk and asking if there was a dress code, "No, not at all, enjoy yourself" to get down there with my husband and Kenneth lets me specifically know that I am not allowed without shoes on, socks on, but no shoes is not allowed, in what OSHA handbook or law does it state you have to wear shoes in a hotel restaurant. You don't it's not a law in the entire US. For the rest of the time here ordering our food after we got shoes, he didn't speak to us the entire time, wrote down our orders, never gave us refills and tried handing me a check. Not realizing I was a diamond elite member and I don't have to pay him his 78$. Lesson learned the staff (Kenneth) in particular is very rude and disrespectful, not a friendly casual environment like they say. We did not "enjoy" the experience. My husband and I both got the American Breakfast, over easy eggs are full cooked, scrambled eggs are left watery, potatoes have no flavor, the bacon was great, served with a side of arugula that's sour and bitter, they won't ever give you a refill they keep water at your table, and they'll give you a side plate of different sauces that stay out and set for hours and it's bad. Don't eat it ! Rude service and poor quality food ! We are very disappointed!

    The preset menu for NYE was terrible. The menu was not posted online, but we figured it would be good no matter what dishes were being served. However, we were very wrong. The first two courses were average to good. The 3rd course had bones in the pasta and then the main course was basically inedible. The venison was meh, the mashed potatoes were nasty and sweet, and the mushrooms were slimy and flavorless. The service and ambiance was very good and our waiter was great, but that did not make up for how bad the food was. I expected much better food for the price and I was severely disappointed. I would not come back.

    My husband and I chose to attend the Toasty NYE event at Elm & Good. Overall, I was left feeling very disappointed in a lot of areas. We came for the 5 course dinner which was all in all ok. The caviar and oyster first course was super fresh and bursting with flavor. The crudite second course was also very tasty but I was very disappointed when I realized I was served food I’m allergic to. All my allergens are listed on OpenTable and I made the server aware of my allergies before the meal. For the price of this experience and the caliber of this restaurant, I would expect more attention to detail, especially when this reservation was made so far in advance. The pasta course was fine while the venison and dessert were both lack luster. The venison was very gamy and the biscotti and brownie dessert plate felt like an easy way out. Not how I expected to finish an expensive New Years meal. As far as service, our waiter wasn’t being disrespectful but we did feel like a major inconvenience to him and like he had no patience for us, even though we were only one of a few tables in our area, not super busy. Value is where we were the most disappointed. On their website, the event details mentioned wine or cocktail pairings which was not the case. I’m thankful the manager covered our first round but we genuinely felt misled.

    We visited Elm and Good for NYE. Initially, there was some confusion about the “experience” menu we reserved. The first two courses of the menu were great, however, the next two courses were not very good. The venison loin and the mushrooms lacked seasoning that brought out any real meat or mushroom taste, but instead the prominent flavor was that of acrid bitter smoke. The desserts literally looked like something that may have been pulled from a Costco box (no offense to Costco as we are fans). Serving biscotti and fudge at a special “NYE experience dinner” was not ideal, particularly when you’re paying $125 per person, plus drink costs. The waiter was not rude by any means, but he certainly could have been better. I feel as though the staff knew the NYE menu was not great as the last thing he said was “please come back to visit us when we have our normal menu.” The overall NYE special occasion experience was a disappointment. It’s unlikely we will be back.

    NYE tasting menu was great. Caviar and oysters to start! Fresh hamachi crudo! Locally grown rabbit with housemade pasta! Venison - which as a former NYer I have been searching for in TX. Our party had just a wonderful time and our server was great. Best way to ring in the new year!

    We were really looking forward to a New Years Eve dinner. The service and ambiance was good. Sad to say our last meal of the year was memorable for being the worst meal we’ve had all year. We had the New Years Eve five course, the first course of the oysters was delicious and the rest of the courses were unimpressive, and biscotti for dessert was insulting.

    The atmosphere was fine, and noise level was tolerable because there weren't that many people there on a Friday evening. The waiter was great. The problem was the food. after pondering the short menu for a while, we decided on three items. When we ordered, we were told that they were out of all of them, all. So they comped us a pasta dish that was quite ordinary. The $28 hamburger with truffle fries was average; the overly salted fries had zero hint of truffle. Definitely will not be returning.

    Most disappointing dining experience - took over an hour to get food, did not receive refills on water and had to get up to get our own salt/pepper - twice. No apologies or acknowledgement of their disappointments, very overrated.

    While I understand is a Christmas brunch and probably some part of the staff is off, an hour and a half to bring cold food is just unacceptable. No explanation, every tables around us ate and left. After a delayed visit from the manager, they did adjust the check but that didn't compensate for the bad experience, we had somewhere else to be and we had to rush through the cold benedicts. Beautiful place, live music. I'm sorry, and they probably don't care, but it's first and last visit.

    Drinks were excellent and had very fresh ingredients and interesting mixology. Food was your basic upscale fair. In some dishes like the bone marrow the effort to make it elevated or different took away from the actual central flavors.

    Went on a Saturday for tea service - great alternative to brunch as it is a lighter meal. Amazing food with a casual feel for service. We added bubbles for the table and it was a fun time catching up with friends.

    Ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. After eating half in a low lit dining room, I noticed the chicken was undercooked in the middle and in some pieces raw. Needless to say I was very ill the next few days. I was visiting so I wasn’t able to fully enjoy the time I was there. Management was very apologetic but that shouldn’t have happened.

    1st time. Overall ok. The service was not too good. Love the decor. It was a function going on so kind of busy nut ok. Our table was near the walkway so didn't like people walkimg around us ehile ee ate. We will come back but make sure mot to set at that table

    Location was great, restaurant was beautiful, service was great. The Waguu steak was delish, and so were the mussels/clams appetizer. The salmon was really good but smaller in size and had no side with it. A lot of the items didn’t have sides, and as expensive as is the menu is, a side would have been nice. And maybe a few more options of sides. The short rib/brisket burger was phenomenal, but the sauce leaks out and so whole bottom bun was soggy. I got the mushrooms as my side and 100% would not get them again. They were big long mushrooms with a bland taste, no seasoning to them. I ate two and didn’t finish anymore. Overall we we’re somewhat satisfied, drinks were good and bartender was great too. But for the price, the food wasn’t what I expected and hoped it would be.

    The ambience was modern and open, staff friendly and helpful. There are not enough positive things to say about the food! It was flavorful, creative and so fresh. And, Maria was a FABULOUS server. We will definitely be back!!

    Had the whole flounder which was delicious and elegantly presented. There was also an off the menu item that the chef was recipe testing and came out to explain the dish to us and get our feedback.

    Went here for my birthday with friends, and it didn't disappoint. The staff is very friendly, tables are far apart. Nice jazzy duo playing all evening (which made it a little loud). Cool decor fits the history of the building with a new modern touch. The menu is limited, not a large menu...lots of tasty cocktails! That was fun! I would definitely recommend.

    The ambiance was really nice, beautiful place to eat and great for friends. However, the prices were super high. Two people with an appetizer, two mains and two drinks and it cost la us $90 a piece. I think they also need a bit more variety on the menu or more choices. Other than that it was pretty good.
