Inspired by both Cabo San Lucas’ beautiful coast and Mexico City’s vibrant cosmopolitan neighborhoods, Esperanza’s thoughtful design blurs the lines between art and function. Masterfully designed by internationally renowned Islandic architect Gulla Jónsdóttir, Esperanza’s interiors reflect an elevated coastal ambiance that exaggerates the grandeur of a beach town villa.

Chef Ray Alvarez oversees a menu featuring fresh interpretations of Sonoran cuisine while Head Mixologists John Fox and Kevin Williams developed Esperanza’s bar program to not only include delicious and playful cocktails, but the two have also created the largest tequila list and mezcal collection in the South Bay.

Unfortunately, and this was probably just because I got there under an hour before closing, but I could definitely tell that the salmon was sitting on the pan a little too long and got dry; the corn cake had a very hard crust on the bottom as well - it wasn’t as crispy as it usually is. I didn’t want to complain because it was edible enough and being that I did indeed show up close to closing, I didn’t want to put the kitchen through another round of preparing my meal. However, the staff was welcoming as usual, which I really appreciate every time.

Love the restaurant and understand it was Halloween but they do have the music too loud all the time. We’re there for dinner and went to talk not yell at our guests. Please turn it down just a bit so we can hear our conversations. Thank you!

We enjoyed a wonderful girls lunch to celebrate a couple of birthdays! Our server Eric had incredible energy, knowledge, professionalism and joy! We shared a few dishes and each one was fresh and flavorful! Try the short rib taquitos, halibut tacos and Ceaser salad! We started with the complimentary homemade tortillas served with two delicious salsas and whipped honey butter. Oh and the cocktail program is outstanding. We tried three different drinks and each one was thoughtfully crafted, used fresh ingredients and were refreshing!! It’s a beautiful space and we will definitely be back. Thank you Samantha and Eric!

Went to have my 2 year wedding anniversary dinner. My wife loved it, the vibes were nice, low light, great music, our server was really good at recommending some food and drink options! They’re autumn drink menu was really good. I’d definitely be back
