Great experience!! Staff was so amazing and accommodating! Food was beyond delicious! We were a large (and raucous) group who hadn’t seen each other in a while and the whole experience was so welcoming and enjoyable! Thanks for making the night so special!

Everything about this place was between ok and not great. Food = meh, edible but nothing to write home about. Service = between ok and bad. The service was generally slow, even though there were only 3 couples in the entire restaurant. Our waiter was more attentive to the couple at the next table than to us, even while bringing our food. He forgot part of my order so had to sit and wait while the rest of my meal was getting cold. Cocktails tasted like juice. I requested hot sauce which I heard our waiter rave about (to the other couple to whom he paid all the attention) and it was barely spicy. All in all, a disappointing experience. Would not come back and would not recommend.

Two of our three dishes were excellent. The ribeye steak dish, however, was dried out not at all tasty. The people taking orders were pleasant but the restaurant appeared to be very understaffed. We gave up and left without dessert even through this was to be a birthday celebration.

Perhaps the most underappreciated stellar restaurant in Chicago. It competes with the top tier of Chicago restaurants at half the price. The service is personable and knowledgable about the wonderfully prepared and innovative gourmet selections. Estacion deserves to be packed with diners. Unfortunately, because of its location on Howard Street in south Evanston, it is not a likely location for a high-end flawless food restaurant. It appears struggling, so please dine here. My wife and I want it to survive because everytime we go the food and ambience are five star! And the cocktails are incredible and distinctive.

We had a lovely evening at Estacion. The food was so full of flavor and the Brazilian cocktail with passion fruit was amazing. The service was so helpful, but not intrusive. I highly recommend it.

Excellent service, absolutely fantastic food. Easy to recommend. We were a little worried when we arrived to kind of loud dance music being played at the entry, but inside was much quieter with more restaurant-y music. We will be back!

Saturday night my husband and I had dinner at Estación with friends. We shared everything family-style — and had a wonderful experience. We started with the ceviche and empanadas — both were fantastic. The ceviche came in a generous portion with yucca chips. The empanadas were a standout — flaky, golden crust with flavorful filling. For mains, we shared the Pernil, Bistec con Mofongo, and Ropa Vieja. Each dish was rich, well-seasoned, and beautifully presented. The pernil was fall-apart tender with crispy edges, the ropa vieja was full of flavor, and the bistec with mofongo was the hit. Every bite was delicious. The portions were perfect for sharing, and the warmth of the staff made the experience even better. Estación is truly a gem — we’ll absolutely be back!

I loved the food at Estacion. The meats are really flavorful. Portions are nice and big. The cocktails are excellent, I had the Mojito. The flan for dessert was perfect. It is a nice addition to the restaurants on Howard Street. We met the owner and he is really nice. We will be sure to come back.
