Loved the atmosphere and the food on the small menu was delicious. I like the vegetable emphasis
and the cocktail to start was divine! I would go again, but liked sitting at one of the two high top tables, not the bar, as it was our anniversary. Very fun and really nice servers.
Evelyn’s table was a great dinning experience. The intimacy of the place and the very helpful staff make a great combination. Food was mind blowing, we were two people and had 4 dishes + desert to share. I’d recommend going here for a date or a special occasion.
Really nice experience, so intimate and you get the chance to chat to the chefs which is awesome. Food was fantastic, some dishes more than others, but overall a really lovely experience which I'd highly recommend for a special occasion or date night.
Loved every single dish ! It was amazing !
Food was great, the service was great ! Staff were all super friendly, chatty and attentive!
Definitely will come back next time for a new menu !
A very experience. Food was delicious. Service super good. I would recommend this place
Have been 4 times now and the food, team and experience is very special. I can’t recommend it highly enough! The produce, especially the fish is really good and the execution of each dish is a delight for the palette.
We had a great evening at Evelyn’s Table, great food prepared by chefs right in front of you and friendly service so a winner all round! Will definately be back.
Great concept. Friendly, knowledgeable service. Ingredients great but food variable from pretty good to a bit bland. Previous reviews are excellent, so may be just a one off.
Faultless on their preparation of our fresh fish (although meat dishes are also offered)
It was great to see the chefs at work and to be able to interact with them. Four chefs working for fifteen diners!. Good fish is never inexpensive but i will return for more
The food was outstanding. However, we felt rushed.
Food, setting, everything was fab! We had requested a special dessert for my husbands birthday which was sadly forgotten but we’ll be back for sure. Divine experience x
A wonderful meal, everything was delicious, carefully sourced and prepared. It's a tiny spot, seating 13 or so along a marble counter. The menu is relatively small, too. The cook- to- patron ratio is perhaps 1 to 4. Every dish we ate and saw others consume was beautiful, fresh, and well executed. Nothing is overdone, so the seasonal vegetables, fish, seafood, and charcuterie shine. A real pleasure, great staff, and an opportunity to be close to your food and the talented people preparing it.
We had a late night dinner at Evelyns table. It was a great experience. The staff was really attentive, the food was amazing and the vibe was great! Even though we arrived late we didn’t feel rushed to finish our dishes quick at all.
Outstanding evening from the food to the service. Staff were amazing and gracious.
Luke and his team serve some top notch seafood dishes.
Extensive wine list, wide variety. We had a delightful orange riesling.
DO try their tiramisu, simple yet ever so satisfying!
London at its best - relaxed, great food, warm service
The service here was the best we had on a weeklong trip to the UK. I had gotten my phone stolen right before our reservation time, and Cedric was incredibly accommodating when we needed to run back to our flat and come back an hour later. No small feat in such a tiny space!! On top of that, the food was delicious, and it was awesome to see the chefs at work!
Very friendly dark small basement restaurant, with air of secrecy. Good for groups of 2. Almost everyone sits at the chefs station. They are very adaptable around a small menu. Fun.
Delicious food, friendly staff
Easily my favorite restaurant of a long trip to Rome and London. Great service, wines by the glass, food quality, and adorable intimate setting.
Had such a wonderful evening taking my boyfriend out for his birthday. Looking forward to finding a following special occasion to visit again. I could happily eat here everyday but as it is such a special place, I want to save it for celebratory moments. From the cocktail upstairs, to surprising him at the side door! The chefs were super friendly and happy to chat and explain what they were making, the staff were happy and funny people and made you feel accommodated in every way. The noise was a good level - able to have a conversation with the person next to you without having to shout over music yet not so silent that it felt sterile. Food price was very fair and the wine list was very well priced! Good vibes all around, I look forward to future visits!
Fabulous food and very good service! It’s great to watch the chefs at work in the kitchen and the food they deliver is really worth every penny.
Perfect spot for a romantic date. The food and service were outstanding!
Absolutely amazing. We immediately booked to come back.
This spot continues to be my favourite to bring friends for a good conversation over dinner. Always buzzy but not so loud that one needs to raise voices to talk. The menu has new and old favourites each time—never had a bad dish. Bonus for work dinners: their multiple seating each evening means that the charming Maitre D helps to usher your conversation upstairs to the bar, a transition that allows for a natural opportunity to end the evening, rather than getting caught in the colleague-loop of the endless post-desert cycles of chat.
Extraordinary! Excellent food and very friendly staff! Fun and exquisite!
1/ Great atmosphere thanks to a very friendly and helpful waiter,
2/ Superb experience to eat at the bar while seeing the chefs cooking,
3/ Nice decoration and the place feels cozy as it is very small.
A very special place for dinner! Highly recommend for everyone. Reasonable pricing and great food, with fantastic staff.
Intimate, fun and friendly! Food is delicious, priced well and the staff are so personable.
Reservation was for 21:30. Seated at 22:15
Absolutely remarkable food and service. Extremely welcoming staff. The smoke extractor could probably do with an extra boost. Will definitely go back
I had lovely time at evelyn’s table; i will definitely go back for another wonderful experience
Just one of the Best restaurant experiences I’ve ever had in London!
Fantastic experience. Very intimate setting, beautiful food and warm, friendly service.
The chefs were happy to engage with us and describe the dishes and how they were put together. We had five dishes (between two) and all were superb, especially the pollock and the lamb.
We dined on Evelyn's table on a Wednesday night. The place is super small, able to sit about ~12people on the counter and ~4 people in two tables they have.
The atmosphere is good, a bit noisy though. The decor is nice and the chefs are trying to interact with customers.
The food was on the OK side, nothing too extraordinary. Some dishes are really nice (i.e. beef tartare), but some others have intense sauces that hinder the actual food (i.e. too much mayo on the oysters).
I would say the food is on the pricey side, comparing with the value that you get and the whole experience.
The main reason I left with a bad impression was the service. We finished our main course well ahead (~30mins) in time. We asked another drink and we were expecting the dessert menu. Dessert menus never arrived. When i asked for the menu I was told that they cannot give it to us, as they are expecting other customers for the counter seat. I find that a bad service, as neither we were offered the dessert menu in time, nor were told that we need to leave the table after a particular time.
They struggle to mimic concepts like Kitchen Table, but they have a long way to go.
I eat out more than the average bear and this is now up there amongst my favourite London restaurants. Great intimate space, incredible food and service. Shout out to Cedric.
Really enjoyable meal. Definitely one of London’s best.
A very good surprise, tasty dishes, friendly staff
A great intimate venue for watching excellent food be prepared in front of you
A decent house white wine and Denis Hopa on tap (from the upstairs bar)
Friendly chefs more than happy to explain ingredients and methods used
