Evelyn's Table
I eat out more than the average bear and this is now up there amongst my favourite London restaurants. Great intimate space, incredible food and service. Shout out to Cedric.
Really enjoyable meal. Definitely one of London’s best.
A very good surprise, tasty dishes, friendly staff
A great intimate venue for watching excellent food be prepared in front of you
A decent house white wine and Denis Hopa on tap (from the upstairs bar)
Friendly chefs more than happy to explain ingredients and methods used
The meal I’ve had in years!!
Exciting superb dishes delivered by a team that take a welcoming pride in their efforts!
An incredible evening. Amazing staff, they could not have done more. Thank you!! Isabella
Great use of space and really feels like group outing at a Chef's Table. We had high expectations after such amazing reviews. To be fair, clearly a lot of effort goes into creating these dishes. The squid was excellent, but everything else was only "above average" to "good" (say 6/10). We found the food a tad salty, the pasta a bit chewy (certainly not al dente) and we noticed a fairly high degree of inconsistencies in the preparation of like for like dishes between customers (although maybe this is the point?) Anyway, after about 1.5 hours we were ready to leave the basement and back to ground level. One other thing, we were there on a Saturday with a private party about to take up their group booking at 930pm wish and we (and everyone else) were definitely rushed out towards the end of our meal. For example, the couple next to us were recommended to order their dessert quickly only to be told "you can eat it upstairs in the pub"! Hmmmm.
Friendly and open without compromising service/professionalism. A lovely team who are genuinely enthusiastic about food.
One of the best restaurants in London. I’m a huge fan of The Palomar and The Barbary, but Evelyn’s Table exceeded my expectations. Service and food are both incredible!!!
Great ingredients treated with respect that you will want to eat again and again. It’s a wonderful experience and the sheer passion with which everyone works is refreshing and makes you want to go back and tell all your friends. Simply wonderful.
Booked this for my boyfriends birthday and it was the perfect location for an intimate, romantic but buzzy evening. The food was incredible and it’s fabulous how the chefs bring your food over personally and explain what’s what.
Great service as well.
Its a cool space, personally I love being able to watch & chat with the chefs. Fascinating to watch & delicious to eat ! Make a real event of the meal
We had a great meal at Evelyn’s table - incredibly fresh fish and every dish was perfect. Highly recommended
One of my favourite restaurants. Fantastic food, service and ambience. Will definitely return!
The staff are delightful, the chefs really know their craft. The cheese course was just delightful. The violet artichoke was amazing. Loved the linguine and all the fish dishes. Definitely worth a visit and check out the beer on the ground floor. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Remember though it's TINY. So super cosy.
JUST AMAZING!
spectacular meal, with talented staff. it's really special experience.
Evelyn’s Table was a great place for a birthday dinner! The staff were incredibly friendly and the food was delicious.
We was welcomed by the bar team of the bar above the restaurant and when our reservation time came we was taken downstair it was surprisingly small but we got the point .... there is a long bar and instead of bartenders u got a kitchen and 3 or 4 chefs and actualy u can chat them up and wach them how they cook your(or someones else ) food, it gives a vibe of exclusive and private dining. Very impresed and definatly going back!
Enjoyed a fabulous meal here in celebration of my daughters 30th Birthday. Faultless! Just the right balance of service amazing food cooked in front of you by great chefs. We loved the hole experience and would recommend this place.....Thankyou
What a great place! It hidden in a pub called the blue posts and downstairs, a dozen seats at the counter with a great team of chefs lead by Johnny and fabulous food, we just loved it. High quality food, great menu well prepared and just fabulous service. Just tyr it.
The food was delicious and the “secret” hideaway style of the place is great (as is the music). The food was very expensive but really special.
Not every seat is as good as the one next to it and those sat to the right of the counter will have the best experience.
The chefs - who are cooking in front of you - hand you the dishes as soon as they’re ready which is lovely but seemed to have varying levels of enthusiasm and descriptions dependent on where you were sat. I got more information on our dishes from listening to it getting delivered to other customers than I did from the mumble we were presented.
Loved everything about Evelyn’s. From the welcoming, engaging team to the excellent, delicious food. Highly recommend.
Great service, fantastic cooking, equally awesome soundtrack
