The food was good, they implemented a new menu just a week ago. As a party of 2 the value/$ left a bit to be desired, it fell short on a few of the “luxuries” of eating at an expensive restaurant (forced still or sparkling, expensive white wine, but not chilled.) Definitely more of a tasting menu than an eating menu. Highly recommend the dip, tuna, and shrimp. Steak and Salmon are average with both lacking in their accompaniments. Drinks were good. Ambiance was good, the music and wait staff were both great, the building could use a good cleaning nothing to do with the quality. Overall would give it a 3.8/5.

It was a Tuesday evening and our 25th anniversary. It’s always a challenge to find a really nice place to eat on a Tuesday evening. Several places weren’t options - so we decided to go to EVO. We had been there in the past and though fancy - this was our 25th. We were given the option of sitting at counter looking out at street or up above and we went w upstairs which was a big mistake. Wish we’d changed. The table for two in the corner looking out to windows was sooooo awkward. It really should go away. We tried to adjust but it’s really the worst possible…It was also much warmer upstairs. They really should do some deep cleaning of the ceiling if people are seated facing that way. Lots of dust and grime on the ceiling/airvents. Gross. The food was fine. Knew what we’d get - next time - will choose to celebrate on a different night if options are limited. The food was good/knew what to expect. The dessert w the gelato & baklava was delicious but the nuts were too strong/over-toasted?

Small portions a little bit pricey Our waiter had no clue how to pear wines as we did the wine pairing and he made it clear that he didn't know how to pair wines. He also gave us full glasses with each coarse which was to much

Evo is a stand out restaurant in Portland, and one of the best overall experiences I've had in a very long time. The service, the food and the atmosphere were all on point. I highly recommend adding this to your list of must visit restaurants in Portland if you are looking for an excellent experience!
