Great food, small plates tho and a little expensive but we'll worth it in quality.
We visit F highly recommend!!
Nice classy restaurant well located and good for special occasions.
Menu somewhat limited and food wise probably overpriced . One us paying for the “ class and location”
We had been here some years ago and it continues to be a very consistent place. The restaurant is clean, the service is friendly and fast and the quality of the fish we had was first class. The wine list was quite good and they offer the option of serving you carafes of wine (500 ml) which is a good option as sometimes a cocktail at the beginning and then a whole bottle can be too much. We like this place and would recommended it to anyone.
Excellent restaurant! Great survive, great food. Staff was flexible and kind.
The bartender ivan was excellent! The server was good as well. The food was delicious, although the vegetable plate was a bit small. Overall good experience.
As someone who travels around the country weekly and is a frequent patron to a variety of restaurants, this ranks with one of my worst food experiences in many many years. The chicken was on the level of what you would get from a local supermarket meaning a rotisserie chicken sitting out for hours. The brussel sprouts had zero taste and the mashed potatoes tasted as if they were made on a Friday and sat in the refrigerator until Tuesday and then microwaved and served, tough and tasteless, to the point you had to cut them with a knife. Typically, I would give a venue a second chance, but not here...you couldn’t pay me to return to this place! Absolutely horrible. On a separate note, the server was very professional and attentive.
Perfect Sunday brunch!
Food was utter disappointment as lettuce was wilted and not fresh. Bread is extra charge on top of already overpriced menu. Bland awful experience.
Service was great food just okay not really outstanding.
We had a wonderful dinner! When we made the reservation we made a special request to be in a cozy corner bc we were celebrating our anniversary and they accommodated us beautifully and sent over complimentary champagne which was a very nice gesture. Our server was fantastic- all his recommendations were spot on an we had a tasty array of crostini’s followed by the best mushroom truffle risotto I’ve ever had. Everything about our visit made for a memorable visit!
Server was wonderful and attentive and did not push us ordering too much which was much appreciated. Good for a drink & appetizers. Really loud so it was challenging to hold a conversation. Lobster ravioli was a bit heavy on the toppings that accompanied it. It marred the taste of the ravioli. The mushroom croquettes were light and seasoned well. Glad I tried it, but not necessarily sure it was worth going back to with all the other choices in the city.
Service was not up to par. Our Olive Oil selection was not identified and, although we ordered a bottle of wine with our meal, it didn't arrive until 10 minutes after the meal. Other than that, food was great - as usual.
Last time when i ordered the pumpkin risoto the portion was bigges
lovely restaurant with lively waithelp.. menu included variety of choices, & good wine list, wish there was a little more vegan selection.
Food was great. Service was awesome. Will be back on my next visit.
Fine. Be sure to ask for a table in the front if your are sitting upstairs - otherwise you will be near the kitchen which is not so nice.
Returned here as remembered how good it was last time! The paella with squid ink was excellent, as are the choice of starters
Had a bad visit last year and the manager comp'ed me drinks/croustini this trip... Very nice of him!!
BUT my favorite drink has gone from $10 to $17 OMG Was SHOCKED!!! REALLY??
Love the menu, food etc but it's become sooooo expensive.
I really like F&O, but I realized that the 12pm lunch availability becomes an issue when trying to check in. They should stagger and offer 12:15/12:30pm. For the 3rd time, I've had to queue to check in for the reservation. People try to skip, thinking the line is for people without reservations, but in actuality we all have reservations and are just waiting to be checked in. Long queue aside, I couldn't give this time 5 stars because the bread on my lamb burger seemed a little stale, it was still good, but that was pretty disappointing. Will definitely go back as I think the bread issue was a one off - I've been here before and it didn't disappoint.
Good food, beautiful place, but a little pricey. Service is good, although the hostess was not so kind as we arrived with a baby without saying so in our reservation. Stefan, our waiter, saved the day with his wonderful service and good mood. I particularly liked the crostinis and the creme de pot (I believe this is the name) - delicious!
Ambience was great, staff was very friendly, had a reservation, seated immediately.
Food was excellent, lamb chops to die for, I would go back just to have the lamb chops.
Great service, bottle of wine was very reasonable, waiter refilled my glass without having to ask or do my myself. Impressive. Overall a bit pricey.
It's a bit pricey for what you get, but you can rest assured that no matter what you order, it will at least be presentable and delicious. If you're interested in trying something a little different that will stand out more to a potential client or business relationship, you really can't go wrong here, especially for lunch. Whatever you get, definitely try the Crostini--the Manchego & Fig jam are amazing on focaccia.
First time there and it was amazing! The cheese board was outstanding with a wonderful selection of cheeses, olives, fig preserves, and fig/olive tapenade. That was just the starter. We also enjoyed the entrees and desserts! Service was impeccable.
We booked this restaurant after doing a search on Google Maps for restaurants near our hotel. What an amazing find. The food was delicious and the service attentive. We had several “SHARING & APPETIZER” plates and excellent wines by the glass. They also have delightful cocktails.
Stumbled upon this place and my girlfriend and I absolutely love it, coming back for dinner soon! Tear sangria's were great! The food is fantastic and good service
One of my favorites when I come to NYC. Can’t miss it!
Service was off. Our wait person was friendly, helpful, etc. but forgot my wine order ( it was them on the house), my meal came out at least 5 min before my friend’s, and they brought the wrong dessert . They then brought the correct one but overall frustrating.
The salmon burger was super impressive and loved the flavour. Will be back.
Packed place yet wait wasn’t bad. Pretty fast seating for us. Seemed owner was handling things - and he gave us a free appetizer. Delicious. It was a lot of fun to taste several things. Unique combinations of foods. Sea bass was the bomb. Salad with seafood rocked. All in all, great stuff!
I’ve been to Fig and Olive before but this time the service was extremely bad.
The mushroom croquettes were outstanding. Piping hot, creamy and full of truffles. The French omelette was perfectly cooked and served with a delicious cheese with truffles and herbs. My husband had the Provençal breakfast. He loved it. Pancetta and chicken sausage with perfectly cooked eggs over easy. The pot de creme was a perfect ending. Delicious with excellent service.
Great food, service and ambience!
The cheesecake was really great! Salmon was a bit dry...need to be moister. But overall great experience.
Always top notch from beginning to end.
I would be happy to return
Excellent, as always!
It was lovely. It was our anniversary and they presented us with 2 glasses of champagne on the house to celebrate. Food was delicious
