Good food, creative menu, served in a quiet and conversation friendly environment. Service was prompt, friendly and professional. Will definitely return.
They honored my request for a high top table near the window and service was efficient and we weren’t rushed. Food excellent and nice wine served
Everything was perfect. We had a lovely, delicious time. Thanks!
Perfect spot to meet someone for lunch or dinner. Food is reliably good.Atmosphere is friendly, attractive and service good. Five stare because it does an excellent job for type of place.
Friendly welcome, excellent service and food choices that were all tasting very good indeed.
The atmosphere was brilliant for me and my partner for our date night. She enjoyed herself and so did I.
The food was excellent and the service was spot on.
Good food and wait-staff. The only problem was some over eager busters who took plates away too soon -0 while we were still eating. We complained and they brought back the plates.
Fig & Olive came highly recommended but we were disappointed. The menu noted an olive oil tasting before the meal -- but it was not offered. My roasted cauliflower appetizer and our group's main courses (Lamb Chops, Mediterranean Tasting, Lemon Chicken and Costini) were ok but nothing special. Maybe we caught an off night.
The service was horrific and slow. I brought it to the waiter’s attention twice but it didn’t change anything. I wouldn’t go back.
Loved the food, great service and super comfortable for talking!
Fantastic food and a great atmosphere !!!
Really enjoyed our late lunch here. The restaurant is narrow so can sometimes be a tight squeeze between tables, but it provides for a cozy atmosphere with natural light. I loved the FIG + OLIVE salad + Salmon. Decent size salmon addition. We enjoyed a bottle of chardonnay with our meal which was delightful. Boyfriend had the avocado toast - it's a delicious piece of art. Last, we had the apple tart -- MUST TRY!
Came here for a quiet Sunday brunch. refreshing that you can actually sit and hear each other speak! Poached eggs with prosciutto and sald was perfectly prepared. Coffee is good. Prices are fair for the neighborhood. Definitely a spot to keep in mind for another time I'm around the area.
Good experience, unfortunately there is no cost check
Such wonderful food. Delicate hunks of bread served with three different oils for dipping. A triad of choices for entrees. Good choices for wine. What more could anyone want?
Lovely food and great service.
Very kind server and delicious food
Always good. Great menu with something for everyone. Convenient location.
I requested a more private/quiet table in the reservation notes and watched the host not even check my reservation or notes when I arrived. Although the waitress was very nice, I rarely saw her. I was a bit upset because I was finishing my meal and my date still didn't receive their steak.. turns out they didn't start cooking it yet. We ended up taking 80% of the steak and the dessert to go.
I would like to try the other locations, hopefully the service will be better for the price. I did like the open concept of this location and was very upset with the table we ended up getting. I did appreciate everyone was very nice and kept refilling our waters.
We had eaten at the uptown Fig & Olive many times in the past. We decided to go there for Valentine’s Day this year. A disaster !! Slow service, limited menu !!
The restaurant clearly has had its best time. It needs some passionate management. The food was OK. Nice wine list.
Restaurant was small but charming, clean, service was fabulous and friendly and the food was delicious
! i would highly recommend
The strong scent of truffle oil that permeates the small restaurant is wonderful. My table was not ready so I had to wait at the bar which is inconveniently situated I a tight space where waiters are coming by with dishes and patrons are walking to and from their tables. No one offered to check my cost so I felt like an elephant 🐘 n a china shop until my table was ready. The tables are tight and the place is noisy. The food is wonderful but, guys, you need a larger space. I will try one of your other locations. Maybe the layout is roomier.
A bowl of soup, 3 crostini, one dish of autumn veg and a glass of Pinot all in contemporary portions was enough to more than satisfy. Each bite was a marvel, each plate beautifully done, our waiter was just the right blend of professional and warm. The room was small but each diner knew they were there for a something special. Fig & Olive is a must do agai!
Rude wait staff, especially our waitress. And none of us LOVED our food...will not go back there again.
The food was super good! We came for restaurant week and got the prefix brunch menu. The Mushroom croquettes were so delicious, I almost ordered more. We tried the crostini’s and the salmon was my favorite. The Paella was super tasty and filling, I would come back in a heartbeat.
One of those menus that is much better on paper than what comes out. For the price, it’s sub par for NYC
Great food! Unexpected and delightful! Loved my waitstaff, so helpful and kind. A cozy casual dining place for anyone.
Good food. Service was a little slow.
Went for late Saturday afternoon lunch...every dish was better than the last! Hanger steak cooked to perfection.
Worst FO location ever, our table was next to the kitchen, all we saw was a scramble and our order was wrong. I like the staff, the location needs a major renovation, please don't seat your customers next to the chaos
Love the variety of starters, that’s the restaurant’s strength
Amazing wait staff. From the bussers to the servers (shout out to Angel and Bilyana) the manager was also really cool (thanks Ray!!) I not only enjoyed the food but the service. They are consistent with their staff and the staff is always friendly!! Will continue to come here not only for restaurant week but during their regular season as well! Thanks! 5 stars here!!!
Went for restaurant week and enjoyed the lunch we had. Would come again with friends. Beautiful location.
Food has gotten very pricey here. Food was merely ok. Lettuce in my salad had bits of old, slimy pieces. Had short ribs. Consisted of one partial short rib with frisée on the side. With the salad and dessert, $42 for restaurant week. Wine prices are very high.
Pretty boring food, poor value and impersonal service
Went there for a birthday celebration
Very off handed greeter
Even at restaurant week - way over priced for what was served
My wife and I went out to celebrate NY restaurant week as we are big foodies and like to dine in places that we have never been before. My wife and I are expecting and after going over the drink menu we found some really good mock tails that she became excited to try. When the waiter finally came to take our drink order after seating bringing bread and taking the drink order of a couple that had come in way after us we called out 3 mock tails which all were shot down because they did not have the ingredients to make them. Finally settling for a non alcoholic white wine to go with my red Cabernet Sauvignon. When the waiter came back to the table with my Cab he had also come back with 3 options of juice in a bottle for my wife and not the wine that we requested. Unwilling to continue with asking for items on the menu and not being able to have them we settled for one if the juice options. Once we received our meal was very good and we enjoyed the short ribs very much. We all of the sudden has a new server who came to ask if we were ok and to bring us our check. Our original server had left us and didn’t say anything about a change. My wife and I love to dine out and have enjoyed the service of establishments such as Tao downtown, Mr Chow and The Polo Bar and felt that Fig & olive would be up to par with the likes of such places but we left somewhat disappointed as we were very excited coming into dinner.
So disappointed in the food, meh at best. We love Fig and Olive in the Meatpacking location and don't understand how the quality can be sooooo different.
The food is just eh, and 2 drinks + 2 restaurant week dinner courses will run you $150+ if you get the tiny filet mignon (+$10..). Happy to spend that for good/great food, but wouldn’t recommend as we can do better in our own apartment kitchen. The service was great though!
