What is your favorite type of pasta? My favorite is gnocchi. @figulina.raleigh recently revamped their kitchen and expanded the menu, so if you haven’t been yet, this is your sign. You can actually watch the magic happen in their open-view pasta room where they hand-shape everything daily. It makes the whole experience feel so intentional and craft-focused. They’ve added some incredible new textures and flavors that lean into Chef David’s British roots while staying true to that Southern-Italian soul. Every dish was a hit, but the Charred Savoy Cabbage and the Nduja Scotch Egg were personal standouts. The Vermouth Flight was a good surprise. If you think you aren’t a vermouth person, let this flight change your mind. You must like syrupy sweet favors though. It was named after the House of Savoy, an Italian royal family that ruled a territory between France, Switzerland, and Italy.
