Firebirds Wood Fired Grill is located at the Market at Mills Park. We are an American Restaurant and Steakhouse known for our scratch kitchen, bold flavors and inviting atmosphere. We went to Firebirds for my husband’s birthday, and we last came here three years ago for his birthday and loved it! Unfortunately, besides our server and the food being excellent, the rest of our experience was extremely poor. We had an 8:00 reservation, and we waited until 8:50 to be seated. The only updates we received from the hostess stand were updates when I asked how much longer it would take or what was going on. They blamed it on the kitchen. I understand things happen, but the lack of communication was extremely disappointing. We were told we would receive a text when our table was ready, and no text was received. Instead, the hostess asked me what my name was again. We also found out that my husband’s sister was trying to call the restaurant to pay for some drinks and desserts for us, and it just kept ringing. We all understand there are staff shortages everywhere, but it was the no communication and forgetfulness of the hostesses that was so frustrating. Our food was incredible, as always, and our server really turned the night around for us. So we are thankful for her! We believe her name was Nina?? The people at the host stand were two younger women and a man.

I’ve been to Firebirds many times, and this was the first unfavorable experience. My friend’s order was wrongly prepared, both in terms of the sandwich and the requested side. It took a long, long time for the food to come out. The waiter seemed like a nice guy, but kept calling us “love“ and did not seem concerned about the errors and tardiness.

Experience was great! Everything was good, honestly speaking. But my friend got the Baja Shrimp Pasta and her noodles were over cooked, and I got the wood grill salmon, it was good but the au gratin just seemed a bit cooked like really soft. Other than that the drinks was great. Thank you.

Got my order wrong. When the order was corrected the steak was dry and not worth the price. I think the manager could have handle it better but they didn’t.

Perfectly cooked filet. Only one side with a steak but very large portions so my wife and I shared and had plenty. The kids menu salmon, veggies, and mash was awesome and affordable. Everyone was very friendly. We will be back.

Terrible service the moment we walked in. Wasn’t greeted, took a while to seat us (reservations at 5:15). Restaurants wasn’t busy. Two people at the host stand. After we sat, took a while for server to some to us and she even apologized for the wait. When food came, order wasn’t correct (side brought was wrong), steak was cold. I sent back my steak and asked to cook longer so it would be warm and I expressed I was ok with it going from Medium Rare steak to Medium. Server brought back the steak in less than 5 mins so it was still cold. Asked again to cook or warm it up longer because I do not like eating cold meat. I had mentioned we were there for a friend’s Birthday. Instead of asking if we would like dessert, our server just brought our check. A manager never checked on us to see how everything was. No acknowledgement of cold steak or wrong side brought. We had to ask about the side to two different people. Such a bad experience. Won’t be coming back here.

Came with my family we had the garlic honey chicken and wood fire salmon with mashed potatoes. Everything was amazing!! Connie and Sean gave us great service with a smile! This place did not disappoint.

Our dinner was delicious and the service was great! Terri was our server and she is absolutely delightful. We had the opportunity to speak with Joey Forster, the General Manager, mainly to thank him for the dinner offered to Veterans the week before. It's no wonder that Firebirds is busy and doing well. You could tell that he genuinely cares about the restaurant and the staff. We will definitely return and bring friends with us!!

They cut the prime wrong. That is hard to do and ran out of baked potatoes . The only thing really good was our server. She saved the night.

Come every year for Veterans Day celebration. Was used to receiving the hot bread at the table and it did not show until we asked about it. At that time the food already came to the table. Otherwise inflation must have really influenced the pricing! Seems much more from previous years.

Horrible experience!!! Ordered the prime ribs and was totally disappointed. First we had to wait 40 minutes for the food to come out. When we finally got it my meal and my wife’s were served totally cold. Before we noticed that I had to cut my wife’s meat into chewable pieces because she has bad hands. I cut to start about a quarter of the meat. The waitress took it back. When she brought the meals back they were still cold. I complained and she took it back again. Instead of replacing the prime ribs she brought it back again with the cut meat missing. We ordered the meat medium rare and after being sent back so many times it was served well done. After I called the manager we were served a new prime rib which should have been done in the first place. All this trouble was not worth it as it was one of the worst prime ribs I ever ate fatty, tough and no taste. To add to the bad experience the noise level in the restaurant was excessive. Never again!

It's great that they had a special for Veterans Day, but someone should have done a little better planning. We got there at 5pm ordered a filet and baked potato. They bring out our food with mashed potatoes stating they were out of baked potatoes....really at 5pm? My wife's steak was under cooked and mine was all grissel. They took hers back and retired it. Mine they brought another that was better but not the cut of meat I expected. Our server Eddie was great and apologetic but not his fault at all. Have been there many times but very disappointed this time.

It was tasty, but although not iverly busy the service was slow today. Our reservation was at 5:45 on purpose so as to beat the dinner rush and it was still a long wait for the meal! Food was otherwise good and my water glass did sit empty for a bit but was filled eventually. I will still go back because I love the food!

We have been before during happy hour and last year on my birthday and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. This last time we ordered a prime rib ($37.50) and the sirloin, both were ordered medium. They both came out quite rare and we asked the waitress to bring them back. Our waitress (who was great) stated they would put the sirloin back on the grill and would get me a new cut of prime rib. We weren't upset, as this happens from time to time, but when they brought our meals back out, they took my "slow roasted' prime rib and just slapped it on the grill to get it to a medium cook. Not what I expected, nor was it what the waitress indicated would happen. For almost $40, I should not have gotten a twice cooked prime rib. Disappointing.

This is the best service I have received in a long time. The menu had many items that we liked but all four of us chose salads which were excellent. While the decor is nice enough it is a big wide-open space that might not be as cozy as someone planning a romantic type of date. The bar area looked very nice.
