All round amazing. First time visit and already booked a return
Excellent local hot spot. Fantastic food and service!
I hadn't been to the new Florians 2 although I had been to the previous restaurant. I shall definitely come again!
Was my favourite restaurant 10 years ago as Florians, and I'm delighted it's every bit as good 10 years later as Florians 2! Great food, friendly service, relaxed bar, everything is just right. A fantastic little oasis in the bustling heart of Crouch End.
It was great to be back! Couldn’t believe it when our friends told us that Florians were back in Crouch End, so we arranged to meet there for a catch up. They had a long journey and were delayed but that was no problem - our table was there when we wanted it and while waiting we had a cocktail at the bar! The food was excellent and our waitress friendly and very patient as we were chatting so much we’d hardly looked at the menu!! I love it that Franco has found the same premises to open his second Florians and I’m sure he will be just as successful. I’m just glad he’s back, and we definitely will be!
It was our wedding anniversary and the food was outstanding and the service exemplary. A great restaurant
Very attentive staff and lovely venue - food was also lovely
Great atmosphere, lovely food & wine
Great food served by very hospitable Italian waiters and a really good Italian wine list.
Great food! Great service. Made a special 30th birthday treat.
Good to have Florians back in Crouch End. Feels 'family'
Wonderful Italian cooking with a changing and interesting menu
The fish is always outstanding
A hidden gem
Had a fantastic evening with my wife celebrating our wedding anniversary.
Food & Service is outstanding - can’t wait to go back and try all the delicious things on the menu. Thanks for a lovely evening. Tarik & Oya x
Excellent food but, once again, very slow service. Even though it was Saturday evening and they must have known they were going to be busy, the kitchen staff just weren't able to turn the food round quickly enough. The waiters were standing around looking desperate for food to be ready to be taken to the customers. The owner was clearly aware of the problem as we were offered desserts on the house. This was the third time we have been so far this year and it is always the same: great food but you have to wait far too long for it.
I was there for a birthday celebration and we had a table of 8 (4 couples). The food was very good but the service was truly exceptional. We couldn't have felt any more welcome, and even though we were the very last to leave they never once hassled us. I would hurry back anytime and thoroughly recommend this place
Excellent food served with real passion. Always a pleasure
Lovely food as always
Our fish wasn’t cooked enough had to send it back once it came back it was delicious... just a shame they didn’t get it right straight away ...
The dessert tiramisu wasn’t great to creamy not enough sponge base
We just had the pasta with clams and the pasta with scallops and saffron. Both were tasty, especially the clams. The house wine was excellent. Service was friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back.
Fabulous food, fabulous atmosphere, attentive staff. Couldn't have had a better night and cannot fault the service or the food.
great food, the place was quiet but it was a midweek evening
The food was delicious. It was quiet when we went, but that was fine by us.
The perfect venue for any occasion. Amazing food, great service, lovely all round
Brilliant dinner, loved the burrata starter with grilled vegetables. Veal delicious. Excellent service, nice ambience. Would highly recommend.
lovely food - as good as any Italian in the west end. The waiters sometimes don't speak good enough english which is quite frustrating e.g. our friend asked what malt whiskies they had and the waiter could only name 1 because he didn't really understand.... so be sure to ask for the owner who is very obliging at substituting and has good knowledge and experience. Veal chop and pastas were excellent.
Great restaurant. We sat at a quiet table in the back, away from the lively bar. The risotto was rich and creamy, the aubergine delicious, as was the sea bass. Service very friendly and attentive. Although I think it is a little expensive. I will definitely go again, but not as often as I'd like.
Lovely welcome from the owner. Starters all good except pear salad - pear was hard. Main courses all delicious. Service was a little curt but attentive. Good value.
I hadn't visited before and was not disappointed I think I will visit often.
Franco the owner greeted us with a beaming smile always a nice touch!
Food was excellent good portions it was fully booked so I think that is an indication.
A gem hidden in Crouch End I will be telling a lot of people about this restaurant.
We had fish and meat both were excellent great Italian food.
My cousin and his wife also enjoyed it.
Great food, great service, good local restaurant. Could do with some ambient lighting, rather than glaring spot lights. Would recommend if in the area.
Such a welcome return for an old favourite from long ago. The perfect kind of ‘local’ Italian - smart and fun enough for a proper evening out, but very decently priced and authentic dishes. Absolutely charming service, with a special mention for the wine list - imaginative range and very good value at all price points.
Fantastic neighbourhood Italian. Lovely service
Lovely meal at Florians this week. Very authentic Italian food which was delicious. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Will definitely go back
A little bit of Italy in crouch end. Move welcome and we enjoyed the setting. The food was a little disappointing, we both had fish and it was bland and uninteresting.
Very authentic good quality Italian food. Good portions - delightful service and nice wine list. All good value - great local Italian and would highly recommend.
I had the cod for my main and was disappointed as the dish did not have much flavor and was on the small side However my friend really enjoyed her food so possibly I made the wrong choice. I have eaten in the bar area before and had a rally nice meal
Great local restaurant with fresh homemade Italian food
The waitress told me the dish I ordered was gluten free, when I got and started eating I asked her again as I notice there seemed to be a coating on the courgette. She confirmed again and I questioned again if the coating was without flour, she said the Chef told her it was completely gluten free and she reluctantly said she would ask. She returned and said the dish is not gluten free and then asked me how I would be affected! She was not apologetic or helpful - quite extraordinary behaviour. Not trained in customer service or in the menu. Extremely Poor service
The Manager arrived and apologised offering me more food! After I had told him I would be very sick that evening having eaten half the dish! When a chef does not know what gluten is it should send alarm bills. I really doubt that they have a proper Chef here.
The menu has about 30 choices a sure sign that it is a poor restaurant. You just cannot do a good job with that level of choice. It's a terrible place go somewhere else. I am telling everyone I know not to go here. It's a dressed up place with no quality in food or service event he tablecloths (which is so old fashioned) are not ironed!
Good family lunch, service attentive and welcoming.
We booked a 6:30pm table for 4 as we had to get to another venue in Crouch End by 8ish. The welcome was good. Due to the time, we were the first in the formal restaurant section at the back. We had some pre dinner drinks at our table which were fine. Service was attentive. We all ordered starters and a main course each with some side dishes. Starters were all excellent. I had the home made ravioli. Right size and tasty. The wine was also good and fair priced. Three of the main courses were good however one (a parmigiana) looked burnt when it arrived - the first mouthfull confirmed it was burnt. We were surprised that this was not spotted by the kitchen staff or the waiter before it was brought to the table. Did they not think we would notice? We called the waiter over who apologised and took it away immediately. A new one (slightly less burnt) was brought to our table 10mins later. Therefore one of our party had to make do with sides until her meal turned up. Not ideal. Even though the rest of the food was good, their attention to detail has to be questioned and the evening was marred by this one instance. My feeling is that the manager should have come over to apologise and make a bit of a fuss in some way. This would show that they care and it would avoid this sort of review. It's a shame, as we really need a good quality restaurant we can rely on in Crouch End. I would still go back again as its a nice venue with a good menu and restaurants like this need our support. I hope however that this was just a one off or if a mistake is made again the manager follows up immediately. Would have given 4 stars throughout had it not been for the one mishap or had they followed up immediately once they realised they had made a mistake.
Very disappointing food which did not match the updated decor.
The food was not at all representative of good Italian food and a very far cry from the food experienced at Cicchetti in Piccadilly the following day.
The sauces were either over-spiced or lacked flavour. The desserts were amateurishly prepared.
We will not return.
