We opened French Market in 2016 to fill a void that Bend was missing - a European-influenced restaurant with unique flavors. After spending time living in France and Spain, we moved to Bend and found ourselves missing the flavors and ambiance of Europe. We decided to bring that special experience to our Bend community. French Market is committed to providing fresh dishes with unexpected flavors using locally-sourced ingredients. In warmer months, our on-site garden is a source for French Market's farm-to-table menu. We grow fresh veggies, herbs, and edible florals for our dishes. Our menu, written by Executive Chef Luke Mason, changes frequently depending on what is in season. We hope to see you soon! - Judith & Phil Lipton

Under cooked and cold duck had to be sent back. Food not nearly as good as previous dinners here. Very disappointing experience

We ate here this summer and the menu was much larger and the food was really good. This time the menu was really small, mine was served cold.

Some of the best mussels I've had in years, the service is quite uneven but hopefully that will smooth out. Cute dinner spot.

Great cocktails and wine selection. Pride in ownership. Very nice people. Great wine selection and fun menu. The atmosphere is uplifting and bright. Rockfish was a little overcooked but very flavorful. Prices are reasonable. We each had a cocktail, 5 selection cheese plate, a bottle of wine and 2 entrees and it set us back about 160 with gratuity. Will be back!

The menu is very creative, the wine is great and the food is tasty. We were just told about this gem a few weeks ago and have already been back a few times.

We've had lunch here and it was great. Thus was our first Friday night date night here. The wine list is great as are the food choices. We had the butter lettuce salad and a couple of other small plates plus the pepperoni pizza with a bottle of burgundy wine. It was all perfect. I do suggest ordering when you have your waitstaff. As with lunch, the restaurant seems a bit understaffed on the floor.

Food is excellent. Service needs work. Hostess wasn't very friendly, server was a little scattered. Did not write anything down as we ordered, ended up with pasta and not the pizza we had ordered. Atmosphere is quaint, but floor needs work. Has an area that is going to cause someone to fall, should paint it so folks notice the elevation change.

My wife read an article about the restaurant in one of the local OR/Bend magazines and since we're foodies who also travel a lot we decided to give it a go. Wonderful little place. Charming. Great food with plenty of delicious choices. We chose to do a tapas style dinner and shared a bunch of the small plates. They were delish! Excellent wine to go along with it - I think it was the Oregon Tempranillo. Was a delightful experience. Probably my new favorite place in Bend. Go early or late, the news is out...

Everything good except for seating. When you reserve a table a week before for two and you walk in and there are several 2 tops open you don't seat them at the kids table by the door. That table by the door and wine shouldn't ever be in a restaurant . The food is good but not worth the weirdness. This is the second time there - both times the female Owner has given us the once over, silently scowled and then sat us poorly. Seems we were middle of the crowd in dress as well. Male owner is awesome, fun to talk to and generous. Who knows... one more chance... maybe.
