Frontline Restaurant serves fresh and seasonal British food, some of it grown on it's farm in Norfolk. The restaurant, open to the public, is part of the Frontline Club, members' club for foreign correspondents.

Striking blank and white photographs decorate the whole building, which features high ceilings and bare brick walls.

Frontline has a spacious private events room, available for hire, suited for a variety of occasions.

There are 3-4 events a week, organised by the Frontline Club Charitable Trust. These are political & cultural debates, documentary screenings on foreign affairs and journalism. All events are open to the public.

We serve fresh, seasonal food, some of it grown on our farm in Norfolk.

Our private events room is very spacious yet cozy with natural wood floors, exposed brick and large sash windows, that make it very light and airy. A private bar, full AV technology allow us to host a range of events. From meetings, conferences, product-launches, canape or seated dinning. The food is always made fresh on site and the drinks menu includes cocktails, wines, spirits, soft and hot drinks.

Was left extremely disappointed by the managers rudeness and inability to rectify her error. We booked a table after seeing a nice looking set menu online with an offer of 2 courses for £18 or three courses for £20. The food offered on this set menu looked very nice and healthy. When we arrived at the restaurant and asked for the advertised menu that we had seen online and which was displayed on a wooden poster in front of the restaurant, the waiter told us they had a different set menu which was a drink and a burger. This is not at all what we wanted to eat and when we challenged the manager about her false advertisement she said she had made a "mistake". So we asked her to honour the advertisement and let us have a two course meal from the menu for £18 which seemed reasonable to us since it was the basis on which we chose to eat at this restaurant. The manager refused and kept trying to tell us that we should eat the meat terrine. (we are vegetarian). The least she could have done is thanked us for pointing out their mistake of falsely advertising a better menu and better deal online. We were so outraged by the way she treated us that we left and went to a lovely greek restaurant next door. Truly disappointed by how this woman dealt with the situation. Will not be recommending the restaurant.

Frontline is a casual restaurant, very busy at linchtime. The food is innovative and tastes great. The menu is rather short and portions are comparatively small. Prices are high for that neighborhood and the service works hard but has difficulties to cope with the high demand at lunchtime. In summary a good place for an easy meal.

I booked a table for a birthday dinner via the website. I was forwarded to Open Table. My booking was confirmed by email and I was reminded by email the day before. When I arrived at the restaurant I was informed that there was no booking and that Open Table was unreliable. I should have phoned I was told. I was shown to a tiny Table for two in the middle of the room with nasty hard chairs. All the comfortable tables were booked specifically. I left: neither Open Table nor Frontline comes out well from all this.

Always a treat to have lunch in this great little restaurant - set lunch menu is such great value in W London and never disappoints!

Popped in for lunch and had an amazing chicken and mushroom soup, followed by a decent main course. Seat cushions were a bit grubby though. Service was very good.

Four of us met up for dinner at this journalists' club's restaurant and enjoyed our meal very much. The wine list was a tad pricey but the food was excellent (pan roasted sea bream was a highlight as was a generous cheese platter). We recommend the restaurant as a fairly quiet one in which you can actually hear the conversation and not have to shout as at some London restaurants these days.

First time at the Frontline Club, smart restaurant hidden away behind Praed Street. Walked past a few times, always busy. Very nice food although our portions were small. Great value for money and friendly attentive staff. We'll definitely go again!

Just feels like a good place to be. Connected to the world and a little added energy around the big issues always helps provoke a good conversation. Combine this with pleasant, casual, but intelligent service and a very tasty menu and you can't go far wrong!
