Come grab a cool Hawaiian beer, fresh seafood, unique Hawaiian-Japanese fusion food on the rooftop lanai, and enjoy an "Aloha" experience with our friendly staff!

Genius Lounge is established in 2009, is a full service bar restaurant serving Japanese inspired Hawaiian dishes. We were selected 2022 & 2023 OpenTable Diners' Choice Restaurant.

Our menus are created by Japanese experienced chef Taiga Sasahara, using Hawaiian ingredients throughout our dishes.

We have some famous Hawaiian items; Sushi, Fresh seafoods, Steaks, Salads, Pizzas, and Original homemade noodle dishes!!!

You can pair those items with our extensive drink menu such as Sakes, Wines, and a lot of original cocktails!

It is perfect a place to enjoy a low key night with friends or a romantic date in the heart of Waikiki.

We also accomodate private parties. We have a quaint private lanai space and 3 party courses for your private party. It is also a perfect place to enjoy your wedding party in the heart of Waikiki.

ウェディング後の簡単なレセプションとして利用しました。日本語OKなのも助かりましたし、スタッフ全員が素晴らしい接客で心地よかったです。ご飯も美味しく、食べきれない分は持ち帰りもさせていただきました。

Absolutely love this place!! My dad comes here anytime he is in Honolulu and recommends it to all his friends. The yuzu chicken is absolutely to die for and the carbonara noodles are unique and delicious! It is hard to go wrong with anything on the menu and the service is lovely

Everything was really good, but it was so hot inside, my shirt was drenched in sweat. I bought the Steak and Seafood special online, but the waitress didn't realize that and even when I told her what we wanted, she assumed we wanted something else. All in all it was an excellent meal.

はじめて予約して行ってみました。日本語メニューもあり、スタッフの方も多少日本語を話せる方でした。ただ、メイン料理が出てくるのが遅くて、ちゃんと頼めたのか不安になりました。サービスはとてもよかったです。

We consider Genius Lounge quite a find! The service was great, the food was delicious and the menu varied and interesting. The rooftop dining was covered in case of rain and quiet. We'd definitely recommend it.

If you’re in Honolulu / Waikiki dinning at Genius Lounge is a MUST! I doubt you’ll find a place offering better food or value. Recommend the wonton pork nachos, yuzu chicken, sushi and four cheese w/honey.

Early reservation, so we were seated immediately and served quickly. The Yuzu Chicken and the garlic shrimp were particularly of note. Service was very good.

We had a great experience dining here after my brother asked my future sister in law to marry him. We had 20 people + a baby, and they accommodated each of our family members. Great vibe, and we loved the ambience! Would come back here again. Mahalo!

This restaurant was awesome!! If you are looking for a casual, reasonable, delicious, nice Hawaiian restaurant in Waikiki, this is the one!! They have nice rooftop lanai and very friendly servers as well. Highly recommend!!

OMG what a hidden gem. The menu contained something for everyone. We started with the fresh oysters and followed with fried fresh calamari and a noodle dish that was delicious. Our server was polite and friendly. Service was fast. Food was delicious.

We are lucky to be able to find this hidden gem Genius Lounge! They have very nice rooftop lanai. Food was awesome! Everything was delicious and unique. They have a lot of hawaiian tropical cocktails and Hawaiian beers. Highly recommend!!

They have new awnings now. My favorite Genius lanai is back!! The rooftop lanai tables are so nice. I had a Volcano Loco Moco. Their Loco Moco was unique and delicious. This loco moco is served in a hot stone bowl and the souce is demi-glace. The side of their original homemade habanero garlic hot sauce was soooo spicy and delicious! I think this loco moco is No.1 loco moco in Hawaii!! Highly recommend!!
