On Friday nights listen to mellow jazz with Gary Thomas & Friends at Gertrude's from 6 to 8pm, while you enjoy dinner or cocktails in a beautiful and relaxing setting. And the Dottie Tim Jazz Duo plays here on Sundays during our popular brunch, from 11:30 am till 2:30 pm.

My party of three had a marvelous experience at Gertrude’s. The food was very good and the 1/2 price promotion for wine which is given on Wednesday evenings was perfect. I also would like to applaud our waiter who helped make the evening so very pleasant.

Visited after seeing the Joan Mitchell exhibit. Our server forgot the drinks but that’s not a huge deal. Once I reminded him, he brought them over right away. Soups were good. Kale salad dressing had zero flavor. Shrimp salad was the same. Standout was probably Caesar salad. I’d go back and see if the lackluster food was just a fluke. The ambiance is elegant and feels special.

Our first visit to the BMA included lunch at Gertrude's. Both were terrific! We had made reservations and were promptly seated. Our waitperson was friendly and quick to bring water and take our drink and food orders. My Crab Quiche was sumptuous! Paired with a garden salad, it was delicious and filling. My husband enjoyed his Mock Crab Cakes as well.

Since we were visiting the Baltimore Art Museum, we decided to try Gertrude's based on their location and online menu. The food was good. The favorite dish at the table was from the seasonal menu, a salmon pastrami grilled cheese sandwich. The staff were friendly and attentive if slightly harried. We very much appreciated the ability to make a reservation as it enabled us to sit under cover but outdoors, important for our immunocompromised family member.

We had lunch reservations & were seated immediately. Friendly, engaging hostess. We were with out-of-town guests and they were pleased to see the variety of regional menu items. Food was outstanding quality. Service was attentive. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Food well prepared and nicely presented. Crab quiche was crustless and closer to the heralded Maryland crab cake. Fabulous. Salads fresh. Highly recommend the crab soup with sherry -- very rich so order a cup.. Service efficient and we are able to continue our tour of BAM without great interruption for eating. A little breezy outdoors in Sculpture Garden. Inside has a super air exchanger for safty. Would go again for sure.

Mother’s Day brunch was excellent! Food and service were terrific, even with how crowded it was. A bit loud with music but not so horrible that we said anything to our server. We will be back for sure!

Pricing was good. The vibe was great. Our server Azak (apologies i can’t remember exactly) was great. Was nervous when it said outdoor seating but it’s even better than inside. Already have another reservation booked! Well worth it and my new favorite spot.

Delicious! Great service. The food was cooked perfectly and arrived promptly. The crab cake was broiled to perfection with big pieces of lump crab. The coleslaw was amazing. I want the recipe. I love coming here. Highly recommend.

I always enjoy taking family or friends to Gertrude's for lunch or brunch. It's such a pleasant space, the food and service are very good, and the museums' galleries are right there.

Gertrudes is an institution. It is completely none obvious how they take local dishes and do an extraordinary job with them. All the ingredients are sourced fresh from the farmers market. This is the best local cuisine available.
