Came with a group of 6 on a friends recommendation. Each dish was delicious, decent portions and lovely presentation. No one was disappointed! Great service as well!

We chose to celebrate our 40th anniversary at Geovedi expecting to create another memory. The cuisine was exquisite, the atmosphere intimate but the service was not warm, personable, or engaging. Sadly, this evening failed to create another memory for us.

They staff was very attentive and accommodating. Our appetizers were delicious. Unfortunately the pork chop was bland and very dry. It was served covered with leafy greens that were bitter and bland. There was no sauce, no dressing on the leaves, no rice or potato. Just the dry chop covered with leaves. Sad to have a bad experience at this restaurant.

Wow! We had the nicest experience here and we even met the owner. The wines were fabulous and the food even better!

I was looking forward to dining at Giovedi given its awards and excellent online reputation, but unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations for our party of ten. The crab and octopus pasta dishes were particularly disappointing. The proteins appeared to be minced so finely that there were no recognizable pieces of crab or octopus, which made the dishes feel less substantial than expected. Having put a whole crab claw, or a piece of octopus on top of the pasta would’ve made the presentation much more appealing. But as it was, it felt as though the minced protein was a way to cut cost. The prosciutto “donuts” with shaved Parmesan were also difficult to enjoy, as the prosciutto was quite chewy. The dish did not resemble doughnuts as expected; it was closer to small sesame-covered pita breads. A fresh or acidic component, such as arugula, reduced balsamic, olive oil, salt, and pepper, may have helped balance the dish. My husband and I shared a fish entrée and asked whether it included a side. When we learned it did not, we hoped to add rice, pasta, or another starch to make the meal feel more complete. Instead, the fish was served on its own over curry beurre blanc. When we asked again about a starch, we were directed to a mushroom dish, which did not seem like a natural pairing with the fish. Given that pasta is prepared and served by the kitchen, a simple pasta side would have been a welcome option. We were also eager to try the five-spice carrot cake. The portion was very small and the cake tasted stale. It was very dry, and the five-spice flavor was barely noticeable. Several members of our group also felt the food could have used more seasoning, and by the end of the meal, the overall consensus was that the experience felt overrated and overpriced. Lastly, because our friends were running late, we ordered right away to catch a concert next-door. Ironically, we were served last service was spotty.

Good value. The food was great and the service was very good. The location is just right if you are in downtown Honolulu.
