Glass Brasserie - Hilton Sydney
Excellent morning - great food and service.
I would strongly suggest changing the American Hash back to normal Hash browns - they are much nicer!
Great food all the same.
Our steak (mine was scoth and my partner ordered sirloin) was dry and tasting some kind of defrost meet. His side of chips took long to arrive to our table and my brocolis was overcooked.
Very expansive for the quality of food.
Awesome space, great service and amazing good. Loved it.
Andre took excellent care of us, he is just fantastic. The other staff are lovely as well.
just a great place and great ambiance. look forward to gonig back
Great service, delicious food, nice atmosphere. It’s been our 5th time here and we keep coming back. Thanks for the wonderful service!
Delicious main and dessert served on time before heading off to a show at the State Theatre. Thoroughly recommend!!!
Excellent food & service.
As expected Glass delivered on all counts. The service was first class efficient and subtle,we (4 pax)dined early pre theatre and ordered from the ala carte menu
The entre of oysters and Kingfish were perfect ,main course selection ranged from steaks both perfectly cooked rare as ordered ,the Barramundi was good and the curry sauce exceptional the only disappointing dish was the lamb (very expensive for basically 2 lamb chops and baked beans) but perhaps a poor choice by the diner
We skipped dessert in favour of coffee (and a choctop at the theatre) the coffees were excellent however a little perplexed as to why a fine dining restaurant with excellent service and food would present the sugar in prepacked paper sachets
We will be back as Glass delivered good food with good service at a reasonable cost
The restaurant itself looks beautiful and has a nice atmosphere. Quite sophisticated and professional. However, menu was misleading - we ordered the rustic chicken entree which turned out to be chicken liver. Overall, the food could be better. We also witnessed a staff member touching the bottom of his shoe and then rearranging salad on a plate. Expected better from the Hilton.
Glass is a great place for a romantic dinner. The waiter who served us gave us great service throughout the night, and provided recommendations for the menu. The rib-eye was delicious, and the kingfish sashimi never fails to please.
My husband and I enjoyed a belated Valentines Day celebration at Glass while staying in Sydney. The food was delicious and well presented. The size of the meal was generous and the decor is welcoming and comfortable. We had amazing waiters for the evening who were friendly and attentive. This our second visit to Glass and we will be returning on our next visit to Sydney.
Absolutely wonderful! The food was amazing and staff were extremely professional and accommodating, and did not mind having a chat with me! Overall absolutely amazing place!
Expensive - but the food, atmosphere and service are excellent to the point where you don't mind spending the money.
The service was stand-out good.
Neil walked the floor, and I would have eaten off the floor, delish.
Over-priced and pretentious. Food was average at best. General ambience terrible.
Perfection! The food, the service, the window table and the wine was way above our expectations. Can't recommend this place highly enough.
Always a great experience, great service and food. Still one of our favourites.
Amazing food fantastic service would 100% reccomend for a special occasion
Food and service are always sensational
The steaks are an absolute favourite
Went for our anniversary dinner. The service and the food was 5 star! The staff made us feel special from the start to the end. High quality service and food. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Our experience was extremely enjoyable with an impeccable and attentive service, delicious and original
food as well as a serene atmosphere.
The lunch for two was a birthday present via Red Balloon and your receptionist at the desk of the hotel was extremely helpful in booking the lunch as the website of Red Balloon proved to be tricky.
We will be back and we will heartily recommend the dining experience at the Glass Brasserie to our friends.
A late night snack and drink at the bar, and a breakfast the next morning, had us raving about the food, the service, the beauty of the building. We will be back next time we visit Sydney!
Excellent food, prepared and served with care. While the overall service was excellent, we waited an hour from our arrival for our entrees. The space is amazing, more than one might expect in a hotel restaurant.
I was so disappointed with the Glass Brasserie this time. Our table was dirty with the last patrons old milk on it. Then at the Buffet there were foods that were run out + not being replenished. The serving spoon for the Scrambled Eggs was so dirty, it was unappetising that is true.
beautiful food, excellent service, excellent wines.
Booked Glass for a special occasion before the theater. Service unfriendly and we felt like an inconvenience. Once I got the check no one would come near me so had to pay on my way out. Food OK but very expensive for what it was.
Very disappointed at no welcome on arrival. Reception person in the wrong job. Coffee was like warm. Food was great and wait staff very good.
Service was great. The food was yummy. Nice atmosphere.
Good food and service!!
Consistently good food and service. Wide variety of food choices to suit any dietary want or need. Will return.
This is my 3rd Xmas eve dinner for my family at Glass Brasserie. Previously the food has been wonderful. This time the food was extremely average. I ordered the top of line steak and ask for rare and received an overcooked steak tough as a boot and relatively tasteless. My daughter ordered gnocci that tasted of deep fried potato fries (we are convinced they were cooked in the same oil as the potato fries since my nephew did order fries and with eyes closed it was difficult to tell which was gnocci and which was potato fry.
Other fam,ily members food was quite OK and soome even good.
The dessert was wonderful. Maybe skip the ordinary and overcooked entrees and mains and only attend Glass Brasserie for dessert.
Sadly this is the final year I will spend $800 on my family's xmas meal at this establishment. I do hope they employ better quality chef's in the future.
We had the 7-course degustation. I loved the Asian influence to the dishes. We also ordered a kiddie steak for a 3-year old, which was cooked just right. Service was very good. The wait staff were very attentive and helpful. The only "bad" point I have is that there was no "wow" factor to the dishes we tasted given their price point. They were not bad, but I wouldn't say that they're excellent either (i.e. food is "ok").
Service was great and the restaurant is very nice however the food was a bit of a disappointment and didn’t justify the price.
I wouldn’t be in a rush to go back
Great views over George Street and QVB. Delicious food. Restaurant very noisy during the busy lunch time period. Our waiter forgot one of the coffees.
Overall a pleasant experience. We will return but could not afford it regularly.
Great food and ambiance.
Service was prompt and not invasive
We have been here a few times and this is one of our favourite restaurants.
Service was impeccable and nice atmosphere, but the degustation was unfortunately quite disappointing. The first two courses (amuse bouche and kingfish ceviche) were amazing, as was the panna cotta. The rest were sadly a bit bland. Not really worth the price. $15 beers a bit steep, too.. but still a nice occasion. Special message on our dessert plates for our anniversary was a lovely gesture.
One of my favourite Sydney eateries, this visit was a on a par with previous visits. Food and wine were very good particularly the King Prawn entree and the deserts. Service was efficient but impersonal to start with and tailed off towards the end of the meal which was a shame. One strange facet was that having made the reservation on line, I had four phone calls and a text to confirm the reservation from the restaurant and I still got an email after the meal saying that I had not turned up which wasn't true, which was rather annoying.
Fantastic day out! We were lucky to get a great table and the food was just outstanding! Luke Mangan was in the kitchen and is not only a genius but a great host!
