Very poor. Cold plates. Soggy yorkshire puddings. Roast potatoes needed cooking longer. Stuffing like sawdust. Very disappointing.

Hi Jane, I have replied to the email you sent to me. You were offered to get yourselves a fresh Carvery. To which you said the food was lovely but just the plate wasn't as warm as you'd have liked. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your visit with us this time. Regards The Halfway House

The carvery was very nice, unfortunately the gravy and cranberry sauce were almost empty and there was nobody around to ask for more. I also didn't like being situated down in the corner by the fireplace when there were plenty of empty tables in the 'Long Room'. If we were to come again, I will request a better situated table!

Beautiful midweek carvery with a good variety of vegetables and meat. Also a special curry as well as menu. This is a pub which is welcoming and inviting. The staff and customers make it friendly and warm. Dogs are welcome and we'll behaved. The road is close but the experience is relaxing and friendly. I love my twice a week carvery which leaves me cooking less in the week. Hoorah. Thanks sorry no photos as I was tucking into it.

Staff are great and work as a team. James on the bar drinks ready. Teigen serving at the table smiling and Alisha on the ball. Harry carving and veg ready. Lovely carvery value for money and variety of veg . Also Evie is enjoying her role. The staff and regulars make the atmosphere warm and friendly. Also dog friendly which is great for us as we love a wagging tail. Proper Job. Thanks roll on Sunday.
