First visit. Great staff, nice ambience, background music not intrusive. And a great menu. The clue's in the signage outside - Geordie Comfort Food :) I had the pan haggerty followed by crumble. Can't get any more comfortable than that! (Except, maybe, with the addition of the rather fine local IPA). Highly recommended. As Bill Bryson would say; 'Go there. Now! Take my car' .

Had a lovely catch up with family at the restaurant. Been there several times and like the menu very much. However surprised to find that in a restaurant at lunchtime that was barely 30% full one of our dishes was served to the table quite cold. The other 3 were fine. The situation was resolved after a few minutes. But it left us feeling a little flat. That's the reason for the low score for food, hopefully it won't occur again. As we will certainly return.

We are a convert of Blackfriars and thought Hinnies would be on a par but sadly not on saying that the main courses were excellent full of flavours and taste but starters and desserts left you wondering would have to say their was little to no passion in both dishes no taste and no flavours. Also some attention to detail was missed bench seats need a clean and their was a mix of cutlery. Sadly overall not the best experience
