   They would not allow us to sit in the dining area with my friend’s service dog despite us having the paperwork and service dog vest, which is not legal. An individual with a Service Animal may not be segregated from other customers. Also, the ambiance was not as expected as you are simply dining in the hotel lobby. Would not recommend.

   This is not a restaurant. It’s a hotel lobby coffee shop. Nowhere to check in for the reservation because there’s no seating service. They tell you to sit wherever like you’re a moron. And then it’s 100% unclear if you get table service. We were so disappointed and annoyed after waiting a full 10 minutes for literally anyone to make eye contact or acknowledge us so that we could figure out how to order that we left. Go to Oceana, around the corner - insanely awesome service and such good food. Do not bother with Holmes.

   The services is extremely slow. It’s super bright in the restaurant ( I understand it’s in a hotel lobby ) It’s not a place to go on a date. If we were to go it would be for drinks at the bar….. maybe

   No service staff in site for 15 minutes. No signage with the name of restaurant, whether to seat yourself, or wait to be seated. All 5 workers came out of the back at once and began cleaning bar, not tending to customers. Will not return.

   We chose this spot because of the brunch menu. When we arrived they informed us there was no brunch. Restaurant was extremely challenging to find; there was no signage. Bartender was super sweet, though!

   The host and service were nice and friendly. The wait after ordering was long and the only negative. The food was good. Very delicious. Fresh and tasty. The price was very affordable and a great value considering the other places in the French Quarter. A very clean restaurant. Probably the nicest restaurant in terms of cleanliness in the French Quarter. Would eat here again.

    The staff were so friendly! We got the cornbread and that was delicious! We also got the Holmes Cobb Salad which was so tasty and the gumbo, which was also delicious! Would definitely recommend for dinner before heading out!

    A little difficult to find but worth the hunt. This gem is inside the Hyatt Hotel which Maps doesn’t tell you. Their grits are to die for so creamy and butter melted so easily making for rich decadence. Their beignets were delicious and so fresh. Our waitress was a sweet thing who made sure we got everything we ordered. Great food, great people and beautiful environment. Like I said worth the extra effort to find this hidden gem.

    We traveled to NOLA for a foodie tour. We enjoyed every meal and the service at every restaurant except this one. We were very disappointed. Perhaps it could be blamed on holiday staffing but there were only 3 tables filled in the entire restaurant.

    This was not a restaurant- it was a hotel lobby. Photos are misleading. There were no walls or partitions, so every time someone walked in, you felt the cold weather outside and as a result, food became cold very quickly. Everyone was eating with their coats on. Couldn’t find it, either - it’s inside Hyatt. We spent 30 minutes walking around and no one was answering the phones. The food itself was decent, but very overpriced for what you got - think typical hotel food. Service was wonderful, however. This was a Christmas Day reservation, so particularly regret booking. I cannot imagine another scenario where I’d ever go back - maybe a quick bite on Mardi Gras? Perhaps if you’re staying at the hotel? Otherwise I’m shocked OpenTable has them listed as a restaurant- it’s not.

    Jarrod was a great server. Although the service was slow, the food was delicious and hot. The team work together real well there was no real check in so I was a little nervous walking up but it was a great time.

    It was just okay. It was hard to find the entrance. There’s so many freight entrances on the street that you had to navigate through a maze of stacked boxes and trash cans. We thought it may have been better to enter in Canal Street? The table service was juxtaposed with their continental service. It was confusing where we should check in for our reservations. A savvy server realized that we weren’t part of the hotel guest crowds doing a “grab and go” so she seated us. (The side with large elegant adjacent to the bar was closed and reopened for service as we were leaving. That would have been nicer.) The food servings were small. The English muffins for the eggs Benedict were the smallest I’ve ever seen. Barely 3” across. Must have been homemade in the restaurant. No regular Benedict’s just a few with seafood or boudin. They were extremely tasty but definitely more plate than food. I had the Banana Foster pancakes and was disappointed. They were heavy and bready. The description said there were pecans - and I had it in my head that it was going to be a light fluffy pecan pancake with the banana foster topping. It wasn’t. This had potential but in my mind, a huge fail.

    Food and service were really good! Only complaint was the singer of the live music was too close to us. I was trying to catch up with my family and it was difficult to hear everyone. Otherwise everything was great!

    It took over an hour for us to receive our food in a half empty restaurant. As a former server it was a lackluster experience as we received very poor care with getting drinks, drink refills, and status updates on our order. The food we ordered was very straight forward, I would have been more understanding if we had made special requests but we did not. Our server seemed annoyed in general and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t just our table that received poor service. For the price point, it’s not worth dining here.

    Food was good and the yaka mein was delicious! Service and atmosphere was relaxed. Restaurant is in the hotel lobby with no signs saying it is Holmes.

    A most wonderful flatbread margarita pizza. We even tried the skillet cornbread and it was wonderful too ! Service was awesome. Very casual, very easy.

    I've dined at some of the best in NOLA, and this one ranks near the top! You really must try it the next time you're in town. They have a limited menu, but food is really good, and the service could not have been better!
