   Our recent experience at In Contrada Vineyard was decidely less than optimal. While the servers did a nice job, we were appalled by the prices of both the wine and the food, and by the fact that only half the menu was available to us the night we went for dinner! Our order of two bottles of wine, four pizzas and three orders of spaghetti and meatballs all served on paper plates with plastic forks, cost over $300.00! The venue is indeed beautiful, but we were sorely disappointed that both the quality and the value were certainly not equal to the exorbitant pricing.

    5 stars for the beautiful location. Everything beyond that is subpar. If you enjoy paying California prices for a picnic-type experience then this is for you. Upon arrival we found the wait-staff and hostess (was there even a hostess?) unwelcoming. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, Caesar salad, and 2 glasses of wine. Food came out within 5 minutes of ordering before the wine. Shows that the food is sitting back there prepared and not cooked to order. Pizza left much to be desired and Caesar salad was like a bagged salad from H‑E‑B. The wine was very disappointing. We found everything to be extremely overpriced ($90) for the quality of the food and wine. Food and wine at this price shouldn’t arrive with paper plates and plastic cups and cutlery. The icing on the cake was the overly drunk crowd leaving at 8:00–as in unable to walk and needing help put in their cars. Let’s just hope they had designated drivers. We are happy to pay premium prices for food, wine, and ambiance. We love to travel and enjoy new food and experiences. Texas Hill-Country wineries need to remember we are just that. We have the beautiful hill country with Texas wine that deserves a Texas price tag. If In Contrada had Texas prices for the picnic style quick service food, mediocre wine, and paper plates and plastic cutlery, this would be the perfect family friendly spot.

    Always our go to place when we want to enjoy a bottle of wine and delicious food. As far as the food, you can’t go wrong with anything you choose from the menu. Many wine choices and the atmosphere is superb. Live music with Austin Ausley completed the experience, we will return.

    Beautiful place , with great potential . Pizza is good but $$ for what you get. Wine chooses where ok, and ran out of the one we wanted. When you first walk up you don’t know where to go, there is not a hostess stand or signs. We figured it out and enjoyed our lunch. Will definitely be back and may even become members.

    I will start with the positive...the Prosciutto Pizza and Zin-Pom was amazing. Unfortunately the service was mediocre at best. When when we arrived at our reservation time we were asked if we would like to sit inside or outside, we agreed to enjoy the scenery and sit outside. It was cool but they had heaters set up which was great but then it began to drizzle. Unfortunately our table was not covered by a canopy and we asked the waitress if we could sit inside instead, due to the drizzle. She very rudely said you could but the tables are first come first serve and walked off. She offered no further assistance, this is after we had already ordered a flight of wine. My husband got up and had to go sit at a table inside , and I followed. It took about 10 min for someone else to ask if we needed anything. We told them we had already ordered a flight. Multiple servers passed our table and barely acknowledged us. It is a small indoor area so anyone is hard to miss anyone. However they were very attentive to all the other parties around us. It was very uncomfortable and I would not have bothered ordering food if we had not driven already out of our way to come. Hopefully you will have a better experience.

    I took my date here as a surprise and we were so pleased with everything! The vibe was perfect and the service was great - food and wine were worth it, too! Will definitely be returning.

    We did the wine tasting and had lunch at In Contrada Vineyard and Kitchen. We enjoyed sampling the six different wines. Our favorites were the Sangiovese and Riesling. We had the ravioli, caprese sandwich and ceasar salad. All were very delicious. It is such a unique place. A beautiful place for wedding or reception. We will definitely go back!

    Very good food (pizza and salads), but wine selection limited. Maybe bring in some Washington wines unless you have some aged wines which improves flavor. Or even Inwood or Grapecreek wines would be good. Bottle prices are a make-break opportunity...keep prices respectable. Nice venue with tons of potential.

    It was a fun meal. The workers were busy, but they pushed forward. The other customers were a hoot. The outside experience was sunny and warm with a cool breeze. Enjoyed our time with you all.

    The outside space is beautiful and great for relaxing with a glass of wine, musician that night was fantastic. I too own a vineyard and Winery in Virginia. The price of 8 ounces of wine total for 28$ tasting was outrageously expensive. The "mayor" clearly blew me off as he was greeting guests at their table when I asked questions about the wine.... Couldn't run fast enough. The servers were actually quite nice. Not the experience I expected but the wine was good.

    The owner Ed was walking around greeting everyone and making sure each guest felt welcomed and was being taken care of. He also cared to know how the food and drinks were. The whole staff was very nice and professional. The vineyard itself was beautiful. The saxophone player was the cherry on top of it all. Already looking forward to our next visit!

    Great spot with great hosts! The menu rotates and they keep it fun. The spot is a little pricy, but it is a great little spot that is worth going back to! Can’t wait to become a member!

    We celebrated our wedding anniversary with family, Ed was quite the host. Nothing like the owner coming to your table and spending time with you ensuring your stay was enjoyable. The staff was courteous and helpful we truly enjoyed ourselves. The brick oven pizza was fantastic and the wine was very good. Add this winery to your must visit list.

    My friends and I visited for the first time this amazing place. Service was amazing, we enjoy a bottle of Pinot Grigio along with the churaterie board which was delicious an also was the prosciutto pizza. They had a very talented musician by the name of name Mario Vera who played a little bit of everything in English and spanish. We definitely are looking forward to return soon!!

    It was a beautiful setting with friendly staff and great food. It was our first visit so we enjoyed a tasting flight and then then had a glass while we listened to the live music. The Prosciutto pizza was delish as well. Looking forward to all the dreams and plans of the Sullivan’s for this place. I’m time this will be like Napa in SA!

    Made a reservation, got a call asking me to confirm the reservation and was given the wrong number to confirm. Two wine tastings and a charcuterie board that was not what was described on the menu was $100. The board had 2 meats and two cheeses, canned veggies, 1 thing of grapes, handful of raw pecans and 3 hersheys chocolates. The place is beautiful but not worth the price or hassle.

    This is our new favorite place for wine and some good food! We had no idea how close this vineyard was. It’s quaint with tables nestled in between rows of grape vines. The Zin Pom is our favorite wine. The pizza is delicious!!

    Just need better specifics on reservations- maybe consider adding last name on the reservation table.. it would prevent mix up and guests have to get unsettled and move around! Otherwise, great, quaint getaway

    My husband and I loved it! The service and food was awesome! The atmosphere was great! Quiet, relax, nice breeze and Ali the mist was so nice especially on a hot day. We sat in-shade which was great! Allot shade seating! Thank you! We’ll visit again for sure!

    This was one of the most incredible and peaceful dining experiences I've had in a long time. The vineyard is close to the city but feels secluded and is very quiet. The servers were wonderful; the views were amazing, and the food and wine were perfect. Can't recommend enough!
