Family owned In Contrada Vineyard, the oldest winery in San Antonio, invites you to visit us! Enjoy an afternoon in the vines while delighting in our house made wines and freshly prepared food.

We offer inside dinning in addition to covered outside seating in the vineyard. Outside you will find gazebos, sun shades, misters and fans. Its really quite nice!

Please make sure to note our Kitchen Hours if you will be dinning with us:
Kitchen closes promptly at 8pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Sunday the kitchen closes promptly at 8 pm.
Our Wine Tasting Hours are:
Thursday 4pm to 8pm,
Friday 2pm to 9pm,
Saturday 12pm to 9pm,
Sunday 12pm to 6pm.

No split checks on parties of 6 or more & gratuity is automatically added on parties of 6+

We have a membership and, so, find ourselves amongst the vines several times per month, but usually coming early and leaving before dark. Our last visit we enjoyed the great service, food, and wine until past 8:30 and, wow! It was lovely in the vineyard with the soft lights glowing. We will definitely be doing that again soon!

We waited to be seated then waited 10+ minutes and the server who was in the area seemed like we weren’t even there.. we talked to the manager and she was cold and made it seem like or experience didn’t matter. And the prices were steep. Very unpleasant experience.. I’d suggest you find another place to spend your money at

Great date night place! Wonderful music, Chance the server was outstanding and very attentive, wine was delicious, the pizza was out of this world, recommend seating outside for the atmosphere. The only thing I was disappointed with was the charcuterie board and Caesar salad...There were a few gourmet cheeses, salami, grapes and dried figs but I felt for a $34 charcuterie board that pre packaged deli meat, colby/jack cheese cubes and a few pre wrapped fun size hershey bars were disappointing selections. The $14 caesar salad was good, but quite overpriced for the size and common ingredients. Overall I do give it 5 stars and will be back, especially for the pizza, worth every penny!!

This place is set up nice outside with lights but those who have been to bigger winery know the difference between trees. Dine inside and severed with paper plates throw the mood and feel. I had to tell server to get an iron rack for my pizza. Felt serves could of been better from manager John. He spilled the wine and 2 completely different menus so watch out for this! I felt manager should know more about the wines and explain it to us at the beginning.

The food was really good. The GF pizza wasn't great. Wine tasting was nice. They have a very small area to sit that is air conditioned. The noise level is almost overwhelming to have conversation if you are not part of the bigger parties. They need to figure out some noise reduction so that all tables can converse. We enjoyed it and will definitely return. The outdoor area is great but it is just too hot these days to sit outside!

We had a lovely time dining at In Contrada Vineyard + Kitchen for our wedding anniversary! We were asked if we preferred to sit inside our outside by our smiling hostess and we were seated inside per our request. Our waiter was very attentive and was knowledgeable about the wine offerings and Friday specials. The Prosciutto pizza was absolutely delicious (definitely one of the best pizzas we've had in a while!), the Fig Apple Brie cheese was tasty as well! I am allergic to sesame seeds and our waiter was able to switch out the crackers for me. We closed out inside and sat outside to hear the singer better. The waitresses outside greeted us promptly and we enjoyed the rest of our evening outside!

Atmosphere was very nice. Enjoyed the live music. Service was good (we dealt with several people). The host who seated us was very friendly and attentive. Our actual server not so much....had to ask the host to go find her to order additional drinks. Had Margherita pizza that was good but we all preferred the Prosciutto pizza. Overall, Enjoyed our evening and will definitely be going back!!!

I had a lovely experience for my birthday dinner while visiting San Antonio. The wine tasting was fun and you get a complementary wine glass. The ambience was amazing, the pizza was a little burnt, but it didn’t spoil the fun or the amazing time I had.

The property is beautiful, the pizza is yummy, the staff is super friendly, and the wine is great. Just a couple of things that could be improved - the outdoor seating areas were very dusty/dirty. A good power wash and wipe down would fix this immediately. Second, the food is served on cheap paper plates. It really brings an overall cheapness to what should otherwise be a more charming experience. It’s also extremely wasteful. I understand that they may not have enough staff to wash dishes, but something to consider in the future. Finally, the wine sample flight is a great idea. I suggest two additional versions be offered, one with all whites and one all reds. I already know I don’t like white wine and would have loved to try 6 different reds. Overall, this is a very special place in a great location. We plan to come back regularly and hope to see continued excellence all around.

The ambience was great and service was good. The quality of the wine did not merit the price. Don’t mind paying for good wine and good food. The prices have gone up substantially since our first visit. Not sure we’ll go back.

I went with some family and we really enjoyed the food and ambience. I would highly recommend coming here and can’t wait to come back. If you’re looking for a place to go on a date, this place is it.

Everything was incredibly wonderful. My friends and I had a great time! The food was delicious! Even though it began to rain, Josh was incredibly serviceable and the rest of the staff was so accommodating due to the weather changes. It was a beautiful day and will definitely be going back.

We ate outside in the Vineyard. Our table was right next to the grapevines, we had shade over us and a nice breeze surrounding us so we were cool enough. We had their number one most popular pizza and it was surprisingly delicious. We totally enjoyed sampling their wines. And our waitress was exceptional.

We went on a Friday night with friends. Excellent waitress, Jamie. Live music with a guitarist singing who was very good. It was a hot day, but fans did plenty of cooling. The food was good. Wine of course, was fun to try different wines, and we all really enjoyed.

We enjoyed our Sunday afternoon here. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The outside space was welcoming with shade, fans and misting stations. We did the wine tasting from the menu and thoroughly enjoyed the wines. The servers were very helpful with the descriptions. We had the Baked Brie and Fig appetizer and it pared well with the wines included in the tasting. Before we left we had already decided that we would be back to enjoy a pizza and wine and bring others along for the experience. Thank you for a relaxing afternoon.

I had a reservation for two at 7:30. We arrived at 7:15 to find they had overbooked and didn’t have a table for my party or the other party before us who had the same time reserved. We waited for over 30 minutes before inquiring again, and the hostess took our buzzer away and said we weren’t going to be able to sit for dinner (b/c the kitchen closes at 8) unless we walked down and ordered from the little bar area, where it turns out, we could sit under misters blasting water onto wet tables. We were appalled at this treatment for our Saturday “date night”… it totally ruined our night. We got one glass of wine and stood around to drink it, then left. The wine was standard, nothing special, and very overpriced for a small glass. Food prices looked high, and there was almost nothing for gluten-sensitive people. The ambience was nice if you overlooked the random garbage and construction items strewn between the plants. Bathrooms were kinda gross, too. We will not come back.

The experience was a great one, our server was very tentative and thorough. It was such a beautiful scenery, nice music, and we didn’t have to yell to hear each other. The only thing that was a little underwhelming was the margarita pizza. It wasn’t anything special especially for the price, but everything else made up for it.

This is a great place for wine and pizza! I loved dining within the vines. They had misters and shade so not too bad in the Texas heat. The service was fantastic. The wine was great; a good variety for all palettes. The pizza was really good. They put a garlic butter on the crust (so it seemed). We had a margherita and a prosciutto. The pizza was a little pricey but 8 slices so shareable.

My friend and I were in town and visited this vineyard. From the yime we pulled into the gate, the view and scenery was breathtaking! The property is gorgeous and the service we received was perfect! Our server and expert was Ryan but Macy assisted as well. They were super nice, helpful and knowledgable of the grounds and wine. We ordered a flight but received 2 samples as well- wonderful surprise! We also dined there and took in the views all around us. The weather was hot but fans were all around us along with constant breezes making it comfortable. We walked around and saw luscious grapes on the vines and took photos. We will recommend to others and plan to return!!

Outstanding personalized experience. Owner, Ed, has made this place a labor of love, and it shows. He visited our table multiple times to extend his hospitality. Food was amazing. Wine tasting very good. Can’t go wrong with the Montepulciano.

Beautiful winery, right on the outskirts of San Antonio. The venue is absolutely beautiful, love the set up of private seating areas, the live music, actual grapes growing on site, etc. Whole staff has always been super friendly and efficient. Love that we found this hidden gem less than 15 minutes from home.
